Starts and sits for Week 8 are here. This edition features quarterbacks and running backs. Last week, I learned a valuable lesson. Justin Fields is horrible. He should never be a starting quarterback in the NFL, respectfully speaking. Fields had a nice matchup against the Carolina Panthers. He finished as the QB30 and got benched during the game.
On the other hand, Spencer Rattler tried his hardest. He finished as the QB16. Also, he had three interceptions. Without those three interceptions, he might have been a QB1.
Rhamondre Stevenson was a great choice to start. He finished as the RB13 and had 16.8 fantasy points, 18 carries, 88 yards, and a touchdown. Stevenson is a good running back. With his skill set, TreVeyon Henderson has been a non-factor this season.
With a handful of teams on a BYE this week, there will be a lot of new faces.

Quarterback and Running Back Starts and Sits
Quarterback Starts
Michael Penix vs. Miami Dolphins
Michael Penix has dealt with a lot of ups and downs in his first year as the Atlanta Falcons’ starter. He has a perfect matchup to get on a roll for the rest of the season. The Miami Dolphins get tormented by every team, every week. This week, the Falcons get their turn for a free win. The Dolphins are allowing the fourth most fantasy PPG to opposing QBs with 20.37 PPG. Penix has the upside this week to finish as a QB1.
Jordan Love @ Pittsburgh Steelers
Jordan Love is the franchise QB for the Green Bay Packers. The issue I have with him is that he is too inconsistent. The Packers are first in their division. That is great, but for fantasy football, Jordan Love has had just one QB1 finish. That came in Week 4 against the Dallas Cowboys. He faces the Pittsburgh Steelers and the QB he took over for, Aaron Rodgers. The Steelers are allowing the fifth-most fantasy PPG to the position. Love will try his hardest to outplay the guy he replaced for the Packers.
Quarterback Sits
Daniel Jones vs. Tennessee Titans
Daniel Jones and the Indianapolis Colts have the best record in the NFL. The fact that it is even a real fact is insane. Jones has found new life on a new team. Despite that, he has a tough matchup in Week 8. The Tennessee Titans are allowing the tenth fewest fantasy PPG to QBs. This is also the Titans. Jonathan Taylor LOVES playing teams in his division. Expect a big game from Taylor.
Drake Maye vs. Cleveland Browns
The New England Patriots found their future QB. Drake Maye might be the best QB from his draft class, but I would not start him this week. He faces the Cleveland Browns. The Browns are always bad, but their defense is always elite. They are allowing the third-fewest fantasy PPG to QBs. I expect the Patriots to win, but it will not be pretty.

Running Back Starts
Breece Hall @ Cincinnati Bengals
Breece Hall once finished as the RB2 in full PPR. Since then, he has not finished as a RB1. Having terrible QB play does not help, either. Tyrod Taylor is a backup for a reason, but he might be better than Justin Fields. Hall faces the Bengals, who are allowing the most fantasy PPG to RBs. If the New York Jets want their first win of the season, Hall is the reason they get it.
D’Andre Swift @ Baltimore Ravens
Ben Johnson is slowly starting to unlock D’Andre Swift. Swift has finished as the RB6 in consecutive weeks. Now, he faces the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens might have the worst defense in football. They are allowing 29.10 fantasy PPG to RBs. That is the second most.
Running Back Sits
Washington Commanders RBs @ Kansas City Chiefs
The Commanders are not what they were. Jayden Daniels is having a sophomore slump and has been hurt, too. In Week 8, he will be missing the game against the Chiefs. Even if he was playing, the Chiefs are allowing the seventh fewest fantasy PPG to RBs. There is no reason to trust any of their running backs this week.
Jaylen Warren vs. Green Bay Packers
Jaylen Warren had 158 total yards in Week 7, but it was against the Bengals. In Week 8, he has a tougher matchup against the Green Bay Packers. The Packers are allowing the fifth-fewest fantasy PPG to RBs. I think Aaron Rodgers will try to prove a point to his former team and have a vintage performance.
