Week 9 Starts and Sits for Wide Receivers and Tight Ends
Wide Receiver Starts
Marvin Harrison @ Dallas Cowboys
Marvin Harrison is the WR37. One of the most talented prospects, he has not amounted to much. Harrison’s best game came in Week 1, where he finished as the WR12. He has more games outside the top 36 wide receivers. Things can be better this week. Harrison faces the Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys are allowing the most fantasy PPG to opposing receivers. Also, the Cowboys have given up 15 receiving touchdowns. That is the most, too.
DK Metcalf vs. Indianapolis Colts
DK Metcalf is having his best season since the 2022 season. He finished as the WR12 last week against the Green Bay Packers. This week, he faces the best team in football, the Indianapolis Colts. Despite having the best record, the Colts are allowing 39.20 fantasy PPG to opposing wide receivers. That is the third most. In order for the Pittsburgh Steelers to have a chance this week, Metcalf has to be heavily involved.
Wide Receiver Sits
Courtland Sutton @ Houston Texans
Courtland Sutton started the season hot, but has not finished as a WR1 since Week 3. Last week, he finished as the WR36, while Troy Franklin finished as the WR1. I think there is a shift change happening in the Denver Broncos’ wide receiver room. To make matters worse, the Bronocs face the Houston Texans. The Texans are one of the better teams at defending wide receivers. They are allowing just 26.46 fantasy PPG.
Matthew Golden vs. Carolina Panthers
Matthew Golden’s last good game came in Week 6, where he finished as the WR22. Since then, he has finished as the WR49 and the WR70. Christian Watson is set to come back, too. The Panthers are allowing just 26.06 fantasy PPG to wide receivers. He cannot be trusted.
Tight End Starts
Kyle Pitts @ New England Patriots
Kyle Pitts is the TE9 in full PPR leagues. He has had four TE1 weeks in 2025. It is about time! This week, he faces the Patriots. The Patriots are a bottom-five team against tight ends. They are allowing 16.21 fantasy PPG, 48 receptions, and 534 yards to tight ends this season. With Michael Penix playing quarterback, Pitts is a formidable start candidate.
Colston Loveland @ Cincinnati Bengals
Colston Loveland started the 2025 season off slowly. He has seen his snap percentage go up over the past three weeks. Last week, it was at 81%. That is the highest so far for him this season. He is facing the Bengals. The Bengals are allowing the most fantasy PPG to opposing tight ends. This is the week Loveland finally finishes as a TE1 and shows off his skillset.

Tight End Sits
Hunter Henry vs. Atlanta Falcons
Hunter Henry is the TE8 in full PPR. He is someone who can get you a decent amount of points every week if you do not have a top tight end. The issue is who he is facing in Week 9. He faces the Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons are not even allowing five fantasy PPG to tight ends. They have given up just 12 receptions and 105 yards this season to them. There is no way you can start Henry with confidence this week.
Dalton Kincaid vs. Kansas City Chiefs
Dalton Kincaid has had a decent season in 2025, but faces the Chiefs in Week 9. Kincaid has faced the chiefs just once in his career. He had eight targets in that game and five catches. The issue is that he had just 21 yards. If the Buffalo Bills win this game, it will be a team effort and not solely Kincaid.
