From a fantasy football perspective, we think of tight ends simply from the receiving perspective. If only it were that easy, though. Yes, young tight ends have to adjust to catching the football, running routes, and developing chemistry with their quarterback. All of that is very important. There’s a lot more to it than that, and sometimes it’s those things that keep them off the field at times. Tight ends also need to learn how to function within the offense and learn how to pass protect and run block. With that being said, let’s take a look at our 2026 dynasty tight end rankings.
What!? Your fantasy football league wasn’t hosted on Fantrax last season!? Once you see how Fantrax stacks up to the competition, we think you’ll be singing a different tune this season.
Dynasty TE Notes
Kenyon Sadiq, New York Jets
A year after drafting an exciting and athletic tight end in the second round, Mason Taylor, the Jets struck again this year. However, their first-round pick should not be pigeonholed as strictly a tight end. Sadiq is an offensive weapon. If you want further proof of how the Jets view Sadiq, they kept four tight ends on their initial 2026 roster. That means Sadiq will truly be used as the offensive weapon and unicorn that he is.
The initial problem, aside from the normal rookie adjustments, is that Sadiq is still dealing with the residuals from his hernia surgery in May. It doesn’t appear to be an issue as far as him taking the field in Week 1, but the ramp-up will likely be a little slower than it otherwise would have been. It’s clear, though, that the Jets are committed to him as a large part of their offense.
At 6-foot-3 and 240 pounds, Sadiq will create vast matchup problems as a receiver. That will be amplified by his 4.39 40-yard dash time and 43.5-inch vertical from the combine.
Isaiah Likely, New York Giants
Previously, when Mark Andrews was injured, we would see flashes of upside and productivity from Likely. Now, Likely is out of the shadow of Andrews and playing in New York. His former coach, Jim Harbaugh, purposely brought Likely in, and it is clear he has big plans for him. Now, it is time to see what kind of offensive weapon Likely truly can be.
Yes, he is a tight end, but in reality, he’s just a large, athletic receiving threat. That does not mean he cannot, or will not, block, but Likely is here to catch the ball. We are going back a bit to 2022 and 2023, but in 10 games that Andrews missed, Likely had seven touchdown catches. He’s also dealt with injuries himself last year, so this fresh start could be a good development for Likely. We know he can be used as a downfield target, and his 7.4-yard average depth of target from last year illustrates that.
Greg Dulcich, Miami Dolphins
Injuries and positional depth have kept Dulcich back to this point in his career. But at age 26, I wouldn’t write him off just yet. You can consider the Miami offense this season a blank slate. Malik Willis will also be looking for friendly faces to target down the field. That’s where it’s valuable to develop a chemistry with your tight end. Dulcich had at least 40 receiving yards in four of his last five games last season, and I’d look for that trend to continue this season.
