Through the first two weeks of the 2026 NFL season, the tight end position generally appears to be progressing as it expected. That doesn’t mean everything is perfect, but there’s nothing glaring to react to at this point. Well, unless you used a second- or third-round draft choice on Brock Bowers. Or you were expecting big things from Colston Loveland or Kyle Pitts this season. Then there’s the injury that will keep Dallas Goedert sidelined for a few weeks. In all situations, you are free to react, but other than when dealing with Goedert, we don’t have anything to act on. So, let’s jump into our Week 3 tight rankings.

Tight End Notes
Brock Bowers, Las Vegas Raiders
After Bowers missed the first two weeks of the season following knee surgery, he’s expected to make his return in Week 3. Once this takes place, it removes any fantasy football relevance from Michael Meyer, but with nine catches for 55 yards, that shouldn’t be a discussion. Kirk Cousins has done a solid job of moving the ball through the air this season with 413 passing yards and six touchdowns, and now he’s getting a legitimate weapon back. I’d expect Bowers to jump right into the mix for the Raiders as their number one receiving option.
Kyle Pitts, Atlanta Falcons
Pitts finally got one on the board in Week 2. After not making it into the box score on his only target from Week 1, Pitts caught one of his three targets for 15 yards last week. As we enter Week 3, though, Cooper Rush is out, and a healthy Michael Penix is back under center for the Falcons. That should help Pitts provide some actual value to fantasy managers, as he averaged about 42 yards per game with Penix as his quarterback last season. It also helps that he faces a Green Bay Packers defense this week that has allowed 12 PPR points per game to opposing tight ends this year. We can’t dispute that it’s been ugly for Pitts to begin the season. But he deserves at least one more week before doing something rash.
Mark Andrews, Baltimore Ravens
Even with Zay Flowers expected to return this week, Andrews is still in a favorable situation. He should be treated as the number two receiver in Baltimore, and his production to this point backs that up. Andrews was targeted a combined 13 times this season and has 10 catches for 49 receiving yards each week. He’s still looking for his first touchdown of the season, but that should come this in a favorable Week 3 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys.
The Cowboys are allowing about 17 fantasy points per game to tight ends this season. Also, the position has a 100% catch rate against the Cowboys. That makes it a great spot for Andrews. The Ravens look to bounce back after a tough home loss to the Saints, and Andrews should play a large role in that.
Jake Ferguson, Dallas Cowboys
Through the first two weeks of the season, especially in Week 2, the Cowboys’ passing offense has been locked in. That includes Ferguson. The tight end continues to show a strong chemistry with Dak Prescott, and that’s a great thing. After a quiet Week 1 in which Ferguson caught just two passes for six yards, he bounced back last week. Ferguson turned two of his four receptions into touchdowns as he finished with 43 receiving yards. He might not be as exciting or flashy as other options at the position. However, you can also do a lot worse than the dependable Ferguson.
