Week 3 added more injuries and a notable quarterback move. Baker Mayfield is going to be out a “minimum of three weeks,” Per head coach Todd Bowles. The Giants traded a fifth-round pick to bring J.J. McCarthy from Minnesota to New York. The quarterback carousel keeps spinning.
Continuing with the transparency of these articles, here is a quick recap of last week’s quarterbacks from this article.
- Jameis Winston disappointed. The idea was that a week of working with the starters and game planning to be the leader under center would have yielded more positive results. Yes, bad weather was a factor, but he certainly left a lot to be desired. He finished 14 of 22 for 118 yards, with no touchdowns or interceptions, and added 14 rushing yards. He finished as the QB29.
- Bryce Young cooled off from his hot streak. He went 26 of 48 for 291 yards, one touchdown and one interception. He finished as the QB21. So again, not a great call for last week.
- Geno Smith came through in a big way. He threw for 321 yards, three touchdowns, zero interceptions, and added 12 yards on the ground. He finished as the QB3 for the week.
With that under our belt, let’s move on to this week’s group of sleepers and streamers.

2026 Fantasy Football: Week 4 Quarterback Sleepers and Streamers
Kyler Murray, MIN vs. MIA – Streamer
The fresh start in a new city and a return to fantasy production has yet to come to fruition for Kyler Murray. Week one saw him throw an interception and then leave with a concussion shortly thereafter. He missed Week 2, and Week 3 was nothing more than further fodder to remind folks of why they did not draft him for fantasy. He finished last week as the overall QB25, throwing for a measly 168 yards with one touchdown and another interception. He also rushed twice for 17 scoreless yards.
This week, the Vikings host the Dolphins, who remain one of the teams in the hunt for the first overall NFL Draft pick of 2027. They are allowing the eighth-most fantasy points to the quarterback position. Thus far, they surrender an average of 223 passing yards, 2.5 passing touchdowns, and 11 rushing yards per contest. They have allowed each quarterback they have faced to throw at least two touchdown passes against them, while still managing to collect three interceptions on the season.
Playing in front of the home crowd, Murray needs a get-right kind of game. Especially after the team just traded their developmental quarterback, J.J. McCarthy, for a fifth-round pick.
Murray is in the streaming conversation for Week 4. Murray showed flashes reminiscent of the seasons when he finished as the QB5 overall. It would be nice to see him get his legs back involved, creating both production floor and upside. If he returns to utilizing all the tools at his disposal, he could easily outperform his (early) current rank of QB19 and flirt with low-end QB1 numbers.
Marcus Mariota, WAS @ IND (London) – Sleeper
There are a few factors that make this selection a little risky for the week. Head coach Dan Quinn suggested that Jayden Daniels could return to practice this week and is expected to travel with the team to London. It comes across as more wishful thinking and subterfuge to expect that he would be available to play after the visual severity of the elbow dislocation. The shorter the non-surgical approach to playing through it, the higher the risk of re-injury. Therefore, I do not currently anticipate that he will be under center for this week at least.
Mariota got the start, stepped in, and played like the veteran he is. He led the Commanders to an upset over the reigning Super Bowl champion Seahawks. He completed 61% of his passes for 183 yards and three touchdowns, no interceptions, and added 11 yards on the ground.
Mariota also has mobility in his quarterback toolbox, even if it was not on display in last week’s matchup. The Colts allow the third-most fantasy production to opposing quarterbacks. Through the first three weeks of play, they are allowing an average of 353 yards and 2.0 touchdowns per game.
International games can have fluky outcomes, as we have seen before, making it difficult to anoint him a big value for the week. However, the defense is generous, the Commanders are coming of the euphoria of an upset, and Mariota is a competitor. He will outperform his early ranking and does provide some upside due to his mobility. He is in the sleeper conversation this week for those who need a fill-in or an upside play.
Daniel Jones, IND vs. WAS (London) – Upside Streamer
Staying in the same game, Daniel Jones also enters the conversation. In his return from Achilles surgery, Jones is still knocking some rust off and is a full season removed from looking like a world-beater with the Colts.
He has been a median back-end QB2 / high-end QB3 through the first three weeks of play. Jones is averaging 203.6 passing yards per game, while adding a perfect 1:1 ratio of touchdowns to interceptions ratio. Not the most handsome of ratios to be seeking balance at, admittedly. However, it is worth noting the competition he has faced. Thus far, the Colts have played the Ravens and the Chiefs; a game in which they went toe-to-toe before losing, and a Houston team that still supports a healthy defense.
Now they are onto the Commanders, who allow the second-most fantasy production to the position. On average, they surrender 241 passing yards per game and have allowed a total of 11 passing touchdowns. Only one quarterback has not thrown four touchdowns against them this season.
With a current 47.5 over/under and two teams that struggle to defend quarterbacks, Jones is an upside play that could have his best game of the season in the wee hours on Sunday.
