2026 Fantasy Football: Week 5 Bold Predictions

Predicting fantasy outcomes comes down to a few different things: workload, scheme, and game script. Here are three bold predictions for Week 5.

Bold Predictions for NFL Week 5

1. Seahawks Defense Sacks Brock Purdy 4 Times

Seattle’s pass rush has been creating consistent pressure, and playing at home gives them a clear advantage against the 49ers.

The Seahawks rely on heavy defensive line rotation and blitzes from the secondary to collapse the pocket. When Seattle controls early downs and forces long-passing situations, expect Seattle to get past San Francisco’s front and bring down Brock Purdy at least 4 times.

2. Harold Fannin Finishes as a Top-3 TE

Harold Fannin is getting the target share and route participation needed to put up an elite fantasy stat line.

Top-tier tight end production comes down to volume and red-zone targets. Fannin is getting both, operating as a reliable option over the middle of the field. This week he faces a defense that struggles to cover the tight end position, so Fannin should see plenty of targets, giving him a high floor and a path to a top-3 weekly finish.

3. Chase Brown Hits 50+ Receiving Yards and a Score

With Ja’Marr Chase in concussion protocol and Tee Higgins managing an adductor injury, Cincinnati’s passing attack is shorthanded, forcing the offense to manufacture touches for other playmakers.

Brown’s explosive open-field speed makes him a prime candidate to leak out on designed screens, check-downs, and slot alignments. Facing a defense vulnerable to pass-catching backs in space, expect Cincinnati to dial up high-percentage throws his way, helping him cruise past 50 receiving yards and house a touchdown.
