The matchup between the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions last week came on strong. And then, the offense slowed to a crawl. At just 37 points scored, it ended up being a disappointment from a betting perspective. Woody Marks did save the day from a betting perspective. While two of our prop plays were losers, it’s a reminder to trust in the process and follow the logic even if it’s not always successful. The good news is that Week 8 is upon us, and we get another crack at things. For Week 8 of the NFL season, let’s take a look at some prop plays to target on FanDuel Sportsbook.

NFL Week 8 Prop Plays – FanDuel Sportsbook
Michael Wilson Anytime Touchdown (+165)
Talk about offense. The matchup between the Arizona Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys has an over/under of 54.5 points. The Cowboys are favored by seven points, but that doesn’t mean the Cardinals won’t score plenty of points.
After 1,006 yards and seven touchdowns last season, you could argue that Wilson has taken a step back this season. Through seven games, he has 37 catches for 375 yards and just one touchdown. He hasn’t been targeted less than seven times this season, and we know that Jacoby Brissett isn’t shy about throwing the ball downfield.
In facing the Cowboys this week, Brissett and Wilson have the perfect opportunity. There was less and less doubt who the number one receiver in Arizona was, but the trade of Marvin Harrison cemented that. Dallas has allowed seven touchdowns to wide receivers this season, and Wilson should make it eight.
Geno Smith Over 222.5 Passing Yards (-114)
I really must have lost it. Target a New York Jets player to hit the over on an offensive prop? Stick with me though, it’s actually logical. Or at least, right now, it seems that way.
So far this season, the Las Vegas Raiders are allowing an average of 253.5 passing yards per game. That puts us over Smith’s yardage prop play. We can say the same about the 232 passing yards he’s allowing per game. Yes, Smith and the Jets offense have struggled to connect with Garrett Wilson, but he’s still one of the better receivers in the league. Omar Cooper has back-to-back weeks of more than 100 yards, and Mason Taylor is also emerging.
Smith has his share of weapons to work with, and the matchup is right this week. Through seven games, Smith has hit his prop play four times, and this week should make five.
Quinshon Judkins Over 47.5 Rushing Yards (-114)
It’s a relatively modest total for Judkins to eclipse, but that doesn’t mean it will be without stress.
The Browns have surprisingly had a strong start to the season, and Judkins has taken on an increasingly larger role. Over the past four weeks, Judkins is averaging 16.5 carries and 66.3 yards. When compared to his rushing yard prop, Judkins lowest total was 44 yards. His opponent this week, the Pittsburgh Steelers, have allowed 91 rushing yards per game.
With an over/under of just 39.5, it’s going to be a low-scoring, tightly contested game. It will come down to time of possession and field position. These are both areas in which Judkins can succeed.
