One of the best things about Fantasy Football is the draft itself, and the draft order definitely has a huge impact. There are several ways to determine the order. There might be trading through the first round, or even paying someone to switch picks.
Getting sniped on your first pick is one of the worst heartbreaks in the world. There are simple and exciting ways to determine your fantasy football league’s draft order. For me, excitement always outweighs simplicity. With that being said, here are five ways to determine your draft order for your 2025 Fantasy Football drafts.
What!? Your fantasy football league wasn’t hosted on Fantrax last season!? Once you see how Fantrax stacks up to the competition, we think you’ll be singing a different tune in the 2025 season.
Cool Ways to Determine Your Fantasy Football Draft Order
Randomizer
This is the most boring of all the ideas in this article. A randomizer can be quick and simple. Numerous websites will randomize names to help you determine your draft order. Input all the names of people in your league and click the randomize button. If I do this, I always randomize three times. The third time is the draft order. Other randomizer websites can include horse racing or speedboat racing. Everyone gets a horse or a speedboat, and the website randomizes the race. It is unpredictable, but simple.
Video game tournament
One thing everyone likes to do to unwind from the day is to play video games. With games like Madden and NBA 2k, tournaments are a fabulous way to determine the draft order. For instance, a tournament can feature a single elimination format. So, as people get eliminated, that is their draft spot. The winner gets the first pick.
Ninja obstacle course
In my opinion, this is the best way to determine your draft order. A ninja obstacle course makes for a fun, bonding experience with everyone in your league. Also, watching people falling off an obstacle course is hilarious. This can be determined from best to worst score, or two people can face off in an elimination style. Whoever finishes the course first moves on to the next round.
Bench press challenge
Bench press will be the toughest way to determine your order. If it is who is lifting the most, then some people can already put themselves at the back of the draft order. If it is about reps at a set weight, then everyone has a shot. The ideal way will be to see who can do the most reps at 135 pounds. Another way to spice things up is to require that everyone must at least try. If they do not, then the rest of the league gets to determine that person’s first-round pick. To make it fair, the player can be from rounds three, four, or five. If there are no guidelines, they might end up with the Broncos’ defense as their first pick.
40-yard dash
For starters, I will gladly take last place if one of my leagues did a 40-yard dash as a way to determine the draft order. Due to wrestling, basketball, and the gym, my knees are shot. Last place does not sound too bad with players like De’Von Achane and Brian Thomas Jr. looming around that spot. A 40-yard dash will determine the draft order, but a chance for people to see how fast they are. This can lead to epic times, and some can be surprised by their time.
