Welcome to week 14 of the fantasy basketball season! We’ve made it to the halfway point so well done on all the hard work put in thus far! It’s always crucial to keep up with the waiver wire trends and see who’s ready to make key impacts to your fantasy teams. Here are five players who are on the rise and set for a big second half…
Week 14 Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire
Coby White, PG/SG – Chicago Bulls (50% rostered)
Coby White time is back in Chi-Town! White was a prime breakout candidate last season and even though he had his moments it was definitely a disappointing campaign. White posted 20.3 points over three games two weeks ago with Lonzo Ball out of the lineup but now Ball is out and Zach LaVine who could miss at least a week and maybe more due to a left knee injury. White as now posted double-digit points in 11 straight games and is averaging 18.3 points, 2.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.0 steals and 3.7 3PTM over his last three games. More points and assists are on the way as the third year is the charm baby. Pick him up!
Amir Coffey, SF – Los Angeles Clippers (30% rostered)
Amir Coffey has found himself a mainstay the Clippers starting lineup posting at least 30 minutes in three of his last four games averaging 19.7 points, 5 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.7 steals and 4.0 3PTM. Not too shabby baby! Coffey has also posted at least 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in two of his last three and will remain a key piece to your fantasy rosters with Paul George possibly missing the remainder of the season. I’ll take a Grande Coffey please with an extra shot of espresso because Coffey is on fire!
De’Andre Hunter, SF/PF – Atlanta Hawks (50% rostered)
De’Andre Hunter has shown plenty of promise during his young career and is worthy of a roster spot here after the Hawks traded away Cam Reddish putting Hunter into the starting lineup. It’s all about the minute’s folks! Hunter looked great Friday vs Miami dropping 20 points and three blocks and had another 15 points prior. There’s a chance the Hawks may go into sell mode which would open up even more minutes for the 24-year-old. Add away
Marvin Bagley III, PF/C – Sacramento Kings (37% rostered)
Speaking of promise, Marvin Bagley III is another player who hasn’t lived up to the hype in his young career but that doesn’t mean they can’t contribute in fantasy! Bagley had one of the best games of his career Friday dropping 26 points and 13 rebounds against the Rockets. Unfortunately, the big-man was dealing with some shoulder soreness and missed Sunday’s game but Kings HC Alvin Gentry said he wasn’t concerned about the injury and Bagley was just dealing with some soreness. Bagley was fresh from posting at least 9 rebounds in three straight games and averaging 17 points in the process. Don’t let this man hang on the waiver wire any longer!
Nassir Little, SF – Portland Trail Blazers (17% rostered)
The Portland Trail Blazers are dealing with multiple injuries at the moment with the big one being Damian Lillard out six weeks which creates scoring opportunity in Portland! Here comes 21-year-old Nassir Little who’s finally seeing minutes and delivering! Little has posted double-digit points in six of his last seven games and is averaging 16 points, 2.5 rebounds, 1.0 blocks and 2.5 3PTM made over his last two games. Worth an add with the minutes on the rise.
