The Week 8 EPL waiver wire sees the table with all 20 EPL teams having a least one win in the early season. Only Manchester City remain undefeated.
Week 7 suggestion: Jack Rudoni scored again, giving him back-to-back games with goals, and five straight double-digit point games. Ferdi Kadioglu ended up with the clean sheet and 11 points, as Brighton dominated in a 5-0 win. Shea Charles had another quality game and a clean sheet for Fulham in a 1-0 win over Hull. Pep ChavarrÃa picked up an injury and did not make the Chelsea squad.

Week 8 Fantasy Draft EPL Waiver Wire
Week 8 suggestions (rostered 50% or less) are listed in order from most to least rostered.
Lewis Dunk – Defender – 45% Rostered – Liverpool vs Brighton
Brighton are absolutely stellar right now. They’ve won their last four games by a combined 15-0 score. They have 23 total goals, which is top of the EPL, and four more than top-of-the-table Manchester City. They’re simply dominating on both ends of the field. There aren’t many BHA options left on the EPL waiver wire, for good reason. Dunk, though, is one of those players. He already has a goal on the season, and he’s been a part of four clean sheets this season. It’s not the best matchup, but Liverpool have scored just nine. Even without a great week 8 matchup, he’s a good player to have on a Fantrax roster.
Antonio Silva – Defender – 35% Rostered – Manchester United vs Bournemouth
Silva and Bournemouth finally got their first win against Sunderland. It was a good game for Silva too, who, while being consistently solid, hadn’t yet hit a score above 12. It’s the consistency that makes him worth a look, even when conceding goals. He’s picking up defending stats. His 52 clearances are tied for third in the EPL, and his 29 aerials won tie him for sixth. Those types of stats can give managers the confidence to play him each week.
Brandon Thomas-Asante – Forward – 17% Rostered – Coventry vs Fulham
The Coventry forward has started the last three games, and he’s put up the points to keep that spot. He’s had back-to-back games with an assist, and he’s scored double-digit points in those three starts. He also has six shots over that stretch, though he’s yet to score. It’s an early-season big game as Coventry sit just above Fulham out of the relegation zone. There are not a lot of effective, regularly starting forwards still available on the EPL waiver wire, making Thomas-Asante that much more interesting as a choice.
Sander Berge – Midfielder – 5% Rostered – Coventry vs Fulham
This is not a glamorous pick nor one that will likely win your league. It’s the type of pick that makes sense when you are looking for someone to fill a spot as a sure starter with a good chance at points. He added an assist last weekend, so there is a chance for points beyond his defensive duties. Opponents Coventry have conceded goals, including three last weekend to Spurs. His experience and steady presence are an asset to Fulham and could be for Fantrax managers as well.
Check injuries. Have fun. Good luck.
