We’re through six weeks of the NFL season thus far, and I’d be lying if I could tell you any particular team is good, outside of the Eagles, Chiefs, and Bills. Heck, even the Giants are 5-1. Parity is strong in the league right now, and that means we can find value across waiver wires every week. Let’s take a look at three options to stream for your matchups this week, as we get hit with injuries and bye weeks.
Week 7 Fantasy Football Streamers
Sony Michel, LA Chargers, RB:
First things, first, the Chargers are 6.5-point favorites in their matchup against the Seahawks this week. That means the game script is likely to favor the run in the second half, as the Chargers try to protect their lead. Ignore their poor performance vs. the Broncos last week. The Broncos defense is stout. The Seattle defense is far from that. In fact, Seattle ranks 28th vs. the rush and 22nd vs. the pass. The Chargers will score, and score plenty. Austin Ekeler is the undisputed lead back, and he’ll probably be the top fantasy scorer on the team, but he’s far from a typical workhorse back, as he splits carries with Josh Kelley and Michel, and Kelley is now injured. Expect 10+ carries for Michel this week, and in a potential blowout, the Chargers won’t risk Ekeler’s health late in the 4th. I like Michel to score in this one, and he’s only rostered in 2.7% of leagues.
Greg Dulcich, Denver Broncos, TE:
There have been 2.5 bright spots on the Broncos offense. One bright spot is Courtland Sutton’s consistency/targets/yardage. The 0.5 bright spot is Jerry Jeudy showing his promise (and the drops that make him maddening). That leaves one bright spot in Greg Dulcich, who made his season debut this past week and showed why the coaches couldn’t stop talking about him in camp and practice. On limited snaps, he managed to garner 2 catches on 3 targets, 44 yards, and 1 TD. It’s easy to overlook him as he scored on a busted coverage, and he’s on a terrible offense that is likely going to be using their backup QB in the near future. However, Dulcich is a special talent. The 3rd-round pick runs a 4.7 (70th percentile for his draft class position), his 6’4 frame and reach was also in the 70th percentile for his draft class, he averaged 19 yards per reception in college (bonafide deep-threat), and he’ll be a safety blanket for the backup QB if Russell Wilson misses time with his hamstring and lat. He’s owned in less than 1% of leagues, but that’s going to change after the next couple of weeks. Get on board today!
Donovan Peoples-Jones, Cleveland Browns, WR:
The Browns are 6.5-point underdogs vs. the Ravens this week. They’ll need to pass to keep up with the Ravens offense. That’s the bad news. The good news for the Browns is that the Ravens have been coughing up leads left and right, and the Ravens defense is 28th ranked vs. the pass. DPJ is less than 3% rostered around leagues, and Amari Cooper will be blanketed, if not double-covered as the Browns most talented receiving weapon. I expect Njoku to have another big day as well, as he’s a mismatch for almost every linebacker. The other target to keep an eye on is DPJ. In week one he saw 11 targets. In his last three games, he’s had 21 targets and 195 yards. That’s a huge target share for someone that was relegated to deep bombs last year. DPJ is incredibly under-owned, and that’s regardless of matchup. He’s turned himself into a starting-caliber fantasy asset. This week he happens to have a favorable matchup, on top of that. Get him in your lineup, ASAP.
