CFB Sleepers on FanDuel: Week 9
CFB Day Slate (Cobbett)
QB Max Duggan, TCU $11,000
West Virginia gives up over 400 total yards and nearly 35 PPG to opposing offenses. Max Duggan is likely to ball out once again. He has faced back-to-back solid defenses in Oklahoma State and Kansas State and still produced an average of 27.82 FPPG. His season average without counting the Colorado game is 32.03 FPPG. He is incredible, getting it done in the air and on the ground. Duggan has a ton of weapons around him, and the TCU offense will score 50 against the Mountaineers.
RB Jarquez Hunter, Auburn $6,200
Hunter provides a lot of value at this price. Though Bigsby would not be a bad look, Hunter gives us more money to spend elsewhere. Hunter is involved in passing situations and has been getting a decent number of carries on the ground as well. This Arkansas defense is not great, and they allow nearly 150 rushing yards per game.
WR Bryce Ford Wheaton, WVU $8,400
Bryce Ford Wheaton was one name I talked about a lot this summer, and he has proved me correct this year. He has been ballin’ for West Virginia. He is averaging 6.83 receptions a game and has five scores this season. He is averaging 16.6 FPPG this season and has the potential to get over 25 fantasy points if he gets two TDs.
WR Marvin Mims, Oklahoma $7,600
Another Big 12 WR: Mims leads the Sooners in YPG and has been dominant this season. QB Dillon Gabriel and Mims will be a good connection to watch for in this one. The Cyclones play good defense, so Oklahoma will lean on their best playmakers to go get on in tight coverage and that guy is Mims.
CFB Night Slate (Cobbett)
QB Casey Thompson, Nebraska $7,800
Nebraska is garbage. Big-time garbage. I mean really bad. This selection pains me here as I am breaking principle to provide a good DFS value pick. As a Hawkeye, I am openly rooting that this pick is wrong, and Nebraska gets killed again. However, at this price, I believe there is a lot of value for Thompson. Yes, Illinois is good, and their defense looks even better on paper, but I ask you to check out their schedule. They have not faced an offense as put together as Nebraska. Thompson also has five rushing TDs this season and has thrown for under 200 yards just twice all year.
RB Zach Evans, Ole Miss $8,100
It is no secret that the run game is the strength of this Mississippi team. Evans is a big part of that and has averaged 17.4 FPPG this season. His worst performance was still over nine points. Texas A&M is good against the run, but they will get run down against Evans, Judkins, and Dart: The trios’ numbers will swell. With Evans notching seven touchdowns this season and being rated with this low number, there is a lot of value for him on Saturday.
WR Bryson Green, Oklahoma St. $8,200
Bryson Green is coming off back-to-back 100-plus yard performances and has scored in every game this season. As a receiver, he provides very little variance and has produced at least 10.9 fantasy points this season. He is a safe option for your lineup this week.
WR Kobe Hudson, UCF $6,300
My wild card of the week is this UCF wideout. Kobe Hudson has played in just three games in 2022 but has seen steady improvement each week. He is averaging four receptions and over 80 YPG. His low number is a great value for your lineup, and if he finds the endzone, you win.
