Week 12 means two things; one is another round of RB rankings and two is we have the Thanksgiving games this week. There are just two more weeks until the fantasy season comes to an end and playoffs start. So, let’s make sure you are one of the postseason teams.
Lucky for you, I did your research on RBs for this week. Latavius Murray should be a great start with Melvin Gordon III being released. Kyren Williams could be a late-season start with Darrell Henderson Jr. also being released. Also, Isiah Pacheco and Rachaad White could make the move to be the starters for the rest of the season.
Running Back Notes:
- Let’s talk about Pacheco first. I have him as my RB28 against the Rams this week. The Rams have been solid against the run, which is why I have Pacheco at 28. In his last two games, he rushed for 82 yards on 16 carries and 107 yards on 15 carries. It is only a matter of time till he breaks out. That could be this week.
- Murray is another interesting player this week. I have him as my RB25 against the Panthers. The Panthers are giving up 23.1 fantasy points per game to running backs which lands them as the sixth-worst defense. Last week Murray led the backfield with 17 carries and scored a touchdown. Gordon had eight carries and Chase Edmonds only had two carries. Now with Gordon out, Murray is sure to exceed 15 plus carries.
- Najee Harris finally had an elite game and could repeat his performance this week. He has the Colts, who are giving up 19.7 fantasy points to running backs this season. Jaylen Warren is questionable to return with a hamstring injury he suffered last week. If he is out Harris will see another 20 carries. I have him as my RB18.
- Lastly, I have White as my RB22 against the Browns. When White has had his opportunities he has looked efficient. One thing that Leonard Fournette has not. When Fournette exited in their last game, White took over with 22 carries and 105 yards. I expect White to win the split this week against the Browns. The Buccaneers need to make some changes if they want to keep their number one spot.
