Fantasy Football 2022: Week 16 Wide Receiver Rankings

The first round of the playoffs are in the books, and if you made it to the next round, congratulations. Injuries from last week didn’t affect my wide receiver rankings for Week 16. However, more receivers are getting healthy, rather than hurt.

Deebo Samuel looks as if he will miss another week, but that means Brandon Aiyuk should have a big game against Washington. Tee Higgins is another wide receiver who is getting healthier. He is still playing with an injured hamstring, but still put up a touchdown on five receptions for 33 yards.

Good things point to Week 16 for the wide receiver position. Now, it is up to you to plug in the right players for this semi-finals matchup.

Wide Receiver Notes:

  • Let’s start with Keenan Allen as my WR13. Allen has been hurt most of the season, and the Chargers haven’t had the firepower they had last year. Yet, Allen has been the most consistent wide receiver on the team. Mike Williams has the potential, but I have more trust in Allen in a must-win game. He has finished in the top 20 in his last three games and has a great matchup against the Colts this week. The Chargers need every win they can get. Justin Jefferson torched the Colts last week. I don’t expect Allen to put up those numbers, but he should be good for 15-plus fantasy points this week.
  • Right behind Allen, I have Garrett Wilson. Wilson has been hot and cold this season when it comes to fantasy production. However, the Jets need to win out to make the postseason. Wilson is going to need to be a factor in these next three games. This week they have the Jaguars who are giving up the eighth most fantasy points to wide receivers. In his last four games, he has averaged just under 10 targets a game. Wilson is a must-start this week.
  • DJ Moore is my WR27 this week. I would have him higher, but the inconsistency with him is frustrating. However, he does have a great matchup this week. The Panthers have the Lions this week who are giving up the second most points to wide receivers this year. This game should be a shootout and I expect Moore to have another productive game.
  • Lastly, I have Drake London as my WR31 and potential breakout of the week. This week he has the Ravens, who are having some trouble defending wide receivers this year. London is also on the verge of a breakout. In his last two games, he has 12 and 11 targets. In Week 13 he had six catches for 95 yards and in Week 15 he had seven catches for 70 yards. All that is missing is a touchdown. If he scores in those games he is easily a top 20 finish those weeks. He is getting the targets, the touchdowns will come.
