Week 18 Fantasy Basketball Preview: February 13-19

If you are like me, you are still picking up the pieces from last week’s trade deadline bonanza. It took me a few days to identify where my players landed and what their role will be. Lucky for us, we can settle into the week 18 Fantasy basketball schedule and enjoy our new look squad. The week is short leading up to the All-star break. If you can, load up on Washington Wizard players as they play three games in 4 days. Otherwise, see if the below players are available for a post-All-Star break surge. Depending on your league, the players available will vary, but the players below should be available in most 12 or 14 team formats.

  • Mark Williams (CHA -C) If you don’t know yet, Mark Williams is the new starting center for the Charlotte Hornets. Expect 25+ minutes a game and big man stats – great FG%, rebounds, and blocks.
  • Cam Johnson (BKN- SF/PF) While second behind Mikal Bridges, Cam was still a huge reason the Brooklyn Nets were willing to trade Kevin Durant. This could mean more usage for the athletic forward. With more usage, expect more points, threes, rebounds, and defensive stats on great percentages.
  • Tari Eason and Kenyon Martin Jr. (HOU -SF/PF) The Houston Rockets have had the youth movement going the entire year, but Eason and Kenyon Martin have not been recipients. Expect that to change. For Eason, expect him to stay in the back up role but get minutes creeping up into the mid-20s, enough for deep leagues and solid production in rebounds and defense. Kenyon Martin is a different story. Martin’s minutes are spiking making him an excellent source of points and rebounds.
  • Jalen Williams (OKC- SG) Williams might not be available in your league, but if he is, add him now. Williams is an all-around fantasy producer contributing moderate points, rebounds, assists, and close to elite in steals. His role should continue to grow as well.
  • Collin Sexton (UTA – PG/SG) Sexton is finally getting minutes near 30, which brings his usual elite scoring, threes, and assists. While he is still lacking defense to make him an all-around add, Sexton still remains a viable top 100 player in rare categories.
