Top Deep League Waiver Wire Adds for Week 2
Alex Caruso, PG/SG – Chicago Bulls (21% rostered)
Caruso has been an absolute THIEF on the hardwood, averaging 2.7 steals over his first three games. He should already be rostered universally in nine-category leagues for swipes, but he also has value in Points leagues. The 29-year-old is an elite 3-and-D option who also chips in with boards and dimes.
Eric Gordon, SG – Phoenix Suns (12% rostered)
Gordon has scored in double digits every game to start the year, averaging 15.3 points with an ELITE 2.3 three-pointers in three games. The 34-year-old is a MUST-START for however long Devin Booker (foot) or Bradley Beal (back) are out.
Alec Burks, SG – Detroit Pistons (18% rostered)
Burks has been a scoring machine off the bench for Detroit over the past two games, averaging 21.0 points on 50% field-goal shooting. He’s also averaging 4.5 three-pointers on 52.9% from beyond the arc. The Colorado product is an option for points, treys, and decent boards.
Ziaire Williams, SF – Memphis Grizzlies (9% rostered)
Williams has started the first two games for the Grizzlies this season, averaging 12.0 points, 7.7 rebounds, 1.7 three-pointers, and 1.3 assists. With Ja Morant (suspension) out until mid-December, the 22-year-old should continue to produce consistent points, boards, and treys while chipping in with dimes.
Killian Hayes, PG/SG – Detroit Pistons (6% rostered)
Hayes has gotten the starting nod over Jaden Ivey in each of Detroit’s first three games, averaging 7.3 points, 3.3 assists, 1.7 rebounds, 1.7 steals, and 1.0 three-pointers. As long as he is starting, the 22-year-old should be a consistent source of dimes and swipes while chipping in with points, treys, and boards.
Grayson Allen, SG/SF – Phoenix Suns (5% rostered)
After falling flat on his face with zero points in Phoenix’s season opener, the 28-year-old has averaged 11.5 points and 2.5 three-pointers over his last two games. Like Eric Gordon, Grayson Allen has a short window of production while both Devin Booker and Bradley Beal are out, so start the Duke product for his 3-and-D capabilities with solid boards and dimes while you can.
Malik Beasley, SG – Milwaukee Bucks (9% rostered)
Beasley was named the starting shooting guard over guys like Pat Connaughton and MarJon Beauchamp, and he’s answered Milwaukee’s faith in him by putting up solid averages of 11.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.5 three-pointers, 2.0 assists, and 2.0 steals over his first two games of the season. The 26-year-old is worth a look in all leagues and formats as long as he’s starting for the vaunted Bucks.
Marvin Bagley III, PF/C – Detroit Pistons (11% rostered)
Bagley’s dominating in limited minutes, averaging 11.0 points on 65% field-goal shooting and 6.0 rebounds in just 14.7 minutes over his first three games. He is the preferred backup center over James Wiseman, where the 24-year-old should provide low-end points, boards, and field-goal percentage.
Duncan Robinson, SF – Miami Heat (7% rostered)
If you need three-pointers, look no further. Robinson’s averaging 2.7 three-pointers over the first three games of the season to go along with 10.7 points. The 29-year-old is locked into 24-28 minutes per game, which means he should produce 2-3 treys a game with low-end boards.
Delon Wright, PG/SG – Washington Wizards
If you missed out on Alex Caruso, Delon Wright is an excellent consolation prize, as he’s averaging 2.5 steals over the first two games of the season. He’s also averaging 6.5 assists and 3.5 rebounds during that span, so if you need swipes, dimes, and boards, the Utah product is your guy.
