Week 4 Fantasy Basketball Schedule Preview: November 13-19

Welcome to week four of our weekly Fantasy Basketball Schedule Preview. As we transition to the fourth week of the season, the strategic contours of the upcoming matchups on the NBA schedule are starting to take shape. Players are settling into their production patterns, and teams are amping up the competition to ensure they don’t fall too far behind in playoff seeding.

Week 4 offers a consistent NBA schedule with low nights on Monday (four games), Thursday (two games), and Saturday (six games). The recommended streaming options this week focus on adding production through games played. The schedule is less advantageous this week for that method, but you can still produce value towards the end of the week with teams playing Thursday and Saturday. Let’s jump in and check out the landscape for this week.

Waiver-wire Targets

Monday and Thursday are the nights with the least amount of games. Interestingly enough, there are no teams that play both of those days. However, the Oklahoma City Thunder and Golden State Warriors play each other back-to-back on Thursday and Saturday (6 games) while the Miami Heat also play.

OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER (TUES/THURS/SAT)

  • Cason Wallace (PG/SG): Cason is slowly getting more minutes for OKC but is more of a deep league addition who does not excel in any specific category.
  • Isiah Joe (SG): Threes specialist who can score in the double digits any night if he gets hot; otherwise, he contributes little else.

GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS (TUES/THURS/SAT)

  • Gary Payton II (PG): Payton is an excellent source of steals (1.6 per game) despite a more minor role. He is not a scorer but can provide modest points to help your team in deeper leagues.
  • Andrew Wiggins (SF): It is hard to believe Andrew Wiggins would be available after last year, but he finds himself struggling and on the waiver wire. Wiggins is a potential stream this week to add modest points and rebounds. You might even find his previous form.
  • Jonathon Kuminga (SF/PF): Kuminga has yet to impress even with opportunities. Kuminga offers double-digit scoring and modest rebounds for deeper leagues but has an empty stat line.

MIAMI HEAT (TUES/THUR/SAT)

  • Haywood Highsmith (SF): Injuries are piling up for the Heat, and Highsmith can claim more minutes. He provides excellent defensive numbers and is a threat for one three, one steal, and one block per game; he is superbly valuable, especially in deeper leagues.
  • Kyle Lowry (PG): Lowry has emerged as fantasy-relevant after Tyler Herro went out with an injury. Lowry is worth the stream to see if he can keep it up. If he has it rolling, he has excellent upside in points, threes, and assists.
  • Duncan Robinson (SG/SF): Duncan is getting more minutes with Herro sidelined. Robinson offers elite three-point shooting and upside in points if he gets hot. Other than that, he is pedestrian. Add him if you need threes.
