The Week 10 quarterback rankings feel a little squeezed with four quarterbacks on their bye weeks. Plus, Dak Prescott is likely headed for the IR with a hamstring injury, crunching the ranks even further. However, there are a handful of exploitable matchups this week. To find out which signal-callers can help your fantasy lineups the most, let’s head to the Week 10 quarterback rankings and notes.
Quarterbacks on Byes in Week 10
Jameis Winston, Jordan Love, Gardner Minshew, Geno Smith
Injury Notes for Week 10
- Cooper Rush is the next man up in Dallas, as Dak Prescott will likely land on the IR with a hamstring injury. It’s a significant blow to Dallas’ offense moving forward, and Rush can be ignored in single-quarterback leagues.
- Trevor Lawrence is doubtful for Week 10 due to a shoulder injury. Mac Jones would be under center if Lawrence is unable to suit up. Jones would be a back-end QB2 against the Vikings this week.
- Will Levis will see an increased workload in practice this week. He missed the last three weeks with a sprained AC joint in his throwing shoulder but is pushing for a Week 10 return. Monitor the injury reports as the week progresses. UPDATE: Levis is trending towards playing in Week 10.
Quarterback Notes
Bye Weeks: CLE, GB, LVR, SEA
- Brock Purdy is primed for a big Week 10. He’s fresh off a bye week and will face a Buccaneers defense that allows the second-most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season. Tampa Bay has struggled to contain damage in the air and on the ground, giving up the third-most passing yards and fourth-most rushing yards to the position. They’ve also surrendered a total of 22 touchdowns, the most through nine weeks. Purdy should be able to capitalize and could be sneaky good on the ground this week. Indeed, in his last two games, Purdy combined for 93 rushing yards and three ground scores. Fire up Purdy with confidence this week, as he ranks as QB5 in Week 10 quarterback rankings.
- Sam Darnold has one of the juiciest matchups on the Week 10 slate. He faces a Jaguars defense that allows the most touchdowns and the second-most passing yards to the position this season. Further, opposing quarterbacks are averaging 24.5 PPR points against Jacksonville, the most in the league. Darnold should have no problems taking advantage. He’s thrown multiple touchdowns in all but two games this season, with his 17 scores on the year tied for third-most among quarterbacks. Darnold should feast this week and is the QB7 in the Week 10 quarterback rankings.
- Aaron Rodgers has been solid of late. He scored 17.3+ fantasy points in three of the last four weeks and ranks as QB13 in fantasy points scored in that stretch. Rodgers should have another productive week against the Cardinals in Week 10. Arizona allows the sixth-most passing yards and 12th-most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season. The Jets throw the ball a ton, and Rodgers should be able to rack up the fantasy points this week. He’s a top-tier QB2 in the Week 10 quarterback rankings.
- It feels a little gross recommending Daniel Jones this week, but opportunity knocks with a Week 10 matchup against the Panthers. Quarterbacks are averaging 22.3 PPR points against Carolina, a defense that’s been vulnerable against the pass. They’ve given up the second-most touchdowns through the air and the ninth-most passing yards this season. Jones ranks fourth in passing attempts and should be able to exploit. Plus, he brings upside to the fantasy table with his running game. Jones is coming off his best game of the season and should put up productive numbers again. He ranks as a mid-tier QB2 in the Week 10 quarterback rankings and is a nice streaming option in Superflex leagues.
