Being active in your Dynasty Fantasy Football Leagues is a simple way to gain an edge and push you towards a future championship. This seems to be a “down” time of year for league activity, leading up to the NFL Draft, but that does not mean you have to sit back and not be active in building your roster for the coming season and beyond. Timing is key when it comes to transactions in Dynasty, and there are players I strongly believe need to be added to your rosters now.
The following is a list of players who are not properly valued by the Fantasy market, but can be great assets to your rosters moving forward. These are players I feel higher on than what the market perceives as their individual values. There is a gap between what other sites may believe their Dynasty value is, and what I believe their Fantasy production will be. Make the move to get these guys on your rosters and thank me later
5 Dynasty Fantasy Football Trade Targets
1. Justin Fields (QB, Jets)
The Jets signed Justin Fields to a two-year, $40 million contract in March. Fields started the first six games in 2024 for the Steelers, who had a 4-2 record during that time. Some flashes from that six-game stretch include:
- 245 passing yards in Week 3, then 312 passing yards in Week 4
- Two passing touchdowns in Week 5
- 78.1% completion percentage in Week 3
- Only one interception across the span
- 57, 55, and 59 rushing yards Weeks 1,4,6
- Five total rushing touchdowns during this span
- 19.4 (Week 3), 32 (Week 4), and 23.7 (Week 6) Fantasy Point weeks
Justin Fields played three seasons with the Bears prior to the Steelers. The biggest highlight during Fields’ time in Chicago was the 1,143 rushing yards in 2022, which ranks second all-time for a quarterback during a single season. For Fantasy purposes, I looked at the last three years of games Fields started:

Through the sample size of “full” games for Fields across the last three seasons, he has averaged 19.83 Fantasy points per game (PPG). The green highlighted are games of 19+ Fantasy Points. For perspective, 19.83 Fantasy PPG would rank QB7 in 2024. Fields averaged 18.4 (#9) in 2023, and 20.5 (#5) in 2022.
Fields reunites with his former college teammate, Garrett Wilson, in New York. The Ohio State turned Jets duo will reunite their connection from their prospect days. When Fields is starting, he has always shown Fantasy Football upside with his dual-threat, athletic traits. The numbers above give you that specific information. Fields has top-12 upside in 2025.
2. Jerry Jeudy (WR, Browns)
In 2024, Jerry Jeudy had a career year despite playing with the combination of Jameis Winston (12 games), Deshaun Watson (seven games), Dorian Thompson-Robinson (seven games), and Bailey Zappe (one game). Jeudy’s 145 targets for the position ranked seventh, 90 catches ranked 11th, 1,229 receiving yards ranked sixth, and Jeudy finished as the WR12 in total points per reception (PPR) Fantasy Points scored. Jeudy ranked fifth in air yards (1,587) and his playmaking was evident with 387 yards after the catch, which ranked 20th. Year five was finally the Fantasy breakout we were looking for out of Jeudy, who has dealt with the combination of injuries and poor situations in the past with Denver prior to his move to Cleveland. Back in 2022, Jeudy’s 13.6 Fantasy PPG ranked 19th for the position through 15 games.
Cleveland will be looking to address their starting quarterback this offseason, likely through the NFL Draft. Cleveland traded for Kenny Pickett, who was once the starting Steelers quarterback, but I am not sold he will be “the guy” in 2025. The Browns are definitely in play for the likes of guys like Cam Ward (Miami) and Shedeuer Sanders (Colorado), who are projected first-round selections. Jeudy is still just 25 years old and will be the #1 target yet again for the Browns in 2025. The connection with Winston was solid in 2024, but I do not feel Winston is the ceiling quarterback that Jeudy will play with, and also believe the Browns could upgrade in that position this coming year. For a guy who just had a top-12 Fantasy season, Jeudy still is nowhere near that value in Dynasty Leagues. Jeudy’s 2024 feels overlooked despite looking like the dominant NFL receiver his prospect profile has always indicated as a former first-rounder.
3. Christian McCaffrey (RB, 49ers)
Prior to 2024, Christian McCaffrey sustained a calf and Achilles injury that kept him off the field until Week 10. McCaffrey would then go on to play the next four games before his season ended due to a PCL injury to his right knee. The lost season in 2024 has resulted in many Dynasty managers fading McCaffrey for their future plans due to the combination of injuries through time, him being 28 years old, and also likely emotion-based responses from being without their Fantasy star.
CMC played 16 games back in 2023, and absolutely dominated statistically which translated to a massive Fantasy Football season. Rostering McCaffrey alone gave you a league edge that season. 272 rushing attempts, 1,459 rushing yards, 67 catches, 564 receiving yards, 21 total touchdowns, and 24.5 Fantasy PPG. This was a man amongst boys in the Fantasy world, absolutely thriving as a 49er for a full year, which led them to a Super Bowl trip.
John Lynch, the 49ers General Manager, was quoted back in January saying McCaffrey is “doing great, doing really well”. March 19th CMC posted a series of pictures on his Instagram of him sprinting, on the field, in the gym, and overall looking like he just might be “back”. There is always going to be risks when making moves for players coming off of injuries, but with how dominant CMC has been for Fantasy Football throughout his career, and most recently back in 2023, he is worth taking a shot on. A healthy CMC in the 49ers, Kyle Shanahan (Head Coach) offense, could be a scary asset in 2025… for your opponents.
4. Jakobi Meyers (WR, Raiders)
In 2024, Jakobi Meyers finished with career-highs in all of targets (129), receptions (87), receiving yards (1,027), and Fantasy PPG (14.5) despite having a mixture of Gardner Minshew, Aidan O’Connell, and Desmond Ridder. None of those listed quarterbacks are above average by any means. Despite the mediocre quarterback room and the dominance of rookie tight end Brock Bowers, Meyers had a more than solid year. Meyers the last three seasons for Fantasy Football, has averaged 14.5 (#20), 13.7 (#24), and 12.9 (#29) Fantasy PPG. Did these seasons mean rostering Meyers gave you a league edge? Not necessarily, but he has been an extremely reliable FLEX play in lineups during this stretch. Yet never seems to be valued much by the Dynasty market.
This off-season, the Raiders traded for veteran Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith. Smith turned his career around back in 2022, starting his first season since 2014. Going back over the last three seasons, Smith has thrown for 4,320, 3,621, and 4,282 passing yards with 21, 20, and 30 passing touchdowns. While Smith is not one of the league’s best, he is very competent and a clear upgrade for Meyers in 2025. The Raiders will still feature a one-two punch of Bowers and Meyers through the air in 2025, but with the upgrade at quarterback, I think we should see progression for both pass-catchers simply by math here. Meyers should deliver quality FLEX play in 2025, just like he did in 2024. Not all Dynasty moves need to be massive blockbusters, and this is a case of adding either quality depth or your weekly FLEX to better compete.
5. Khalil Shakir (WR, Bills)
Khalil Shakir was the clear #1 option for Josh Allen in 2024, as the most productive pass-catcher for the Bills through 15 games played. 100 targets were 25 more than any other Bill, 76 catches were 32 more than any other Bill, and 821 receiving yards were 265 more than any other Bill. Shakir was one of the best playmakers with the ball in his hands last season, racking up 597 yards after the catch which ranked second for the position. The combination of Keon Coleman, Dalton Kincaid, Amari Cooper, and Curtis Samuel was all very unimpressive in 2024.
This off-season, the Bills extended Shakir on a four-year deal worth $60.2 million. The message was clear – Shakir is a vital part of this offense moving forward. Shakir’s 12.2 Fantasy PPG ranked 33rd in 2024, which may not be elite but shows FLEX value. Shakir just finished his third NFL season and should continue to progress forward at just 25 years old. Looking at the pass-catchers for 2025, Shakir is the most reliable for Josh Allen, who just won the MVP in 2024. Underrated FLEX move to make this off-season. We love Josh Allen, so we should love his trustworthy target.
