Best Dynasty Sells for 2025 Fantasy Football

The NFL season is right around the corner, so there is just a little time left to sell pieces of your dynasty roster. To classify as a dynasty sell, the typical reasons are usually projecting for regression, or their value is simply too high that you must capitalize on it. And sometimes it is both, which makes for a perfect storm to trade that player from your dynasty roster. Below is four dynasty sells ahead of the 2025 NFL season.

What!? Your fantasy football league wasn’t hosted on Fantrax last season!? Once you see how Fantrax stacks up to the competition, we think you’ll be singing a different tune in the 2025 season.

Dynasty Sells for 2025 Fantasy Football

Jayden Daniels

This may be a hot take, but Jayden Daniels is currently the best dynasty sell right now. Yes, we saw him take the league by storm in 2024, and he was incredible. However, it feels like the Commanders will take a step back this season. Brian Robinson is on the trade block, and Terry McLaurin is looking for a new deal that the team is reluctant to pay. It remains to be seen if either of these things happens, but it is not a good sign either way. The real reason he is the best dynasty sell has nothing to do with his on-field play and everything to do with his value.

Will We See a Repeat?

It was not too long ago that we saw another rookie quarterback take the league by storm and elevate to the top three of startup drafts. C.J. Stroud did it just two years ago. Now his value is still great, but compared to what managers could get in the 2024 offseason, it is now just a fraction of that. Daniels does possess something Stroud does not, and that is elite rushing upside. So it is not an exact comparison, but it is food for thought. Whenever someone’s value gets this high and has not done it in multiple seasons, it is wise to consider tiering down to someone like Mahomes or Herbert. Another option would be to target players like Joe Burrow or Jalen Hurts and get a small plus.

What hurt Stroud was a weak offensive line; the line in Washington will not be much better, but Daniels will be able to mitigate some of the pressure. Daniels will need to do much of the heavy lifting, especially if Terry McLaurin is not in town. He will also have to do the heavy lifting for fantasy, because if he does not live up to his fantasy draft stock, he may end up like Stroud did. With his rushing upside, it would not be as far a fall, but the end of the first or start of the second feels fair, which is a wide gap from the early first in dynasty.

Omarion Hampton

I briefly mentioned this in the myths article. Omarion Hampton’s value is out of control for not playing a snap in the NFL yet. His dynasty ADP is currently RB5 at pick 3.03. It just goes to show how good the top of the offensive class was. My primary concern with Hampton is not that he has not taken a snap yet. Rookies will always have this value in the offseason. My problem is whether or not he will catch enough passes to be a high-end RB1 like his value suggests. Hampton’s receiving film out of North Carolina would be considered okay. Nothing jumps off the screen in that department, unlike his rushing ability, which warranted the first-round pick from the Chargers.

The Rocketship has been attached to the Rookie

The other running backs in the top five are Bijan Robinson and Jahmyr, who catch plenty of passes weekly. Saquon Barkley, who is coming off setting the all-time rushing record for a whole season, including the playoffs. And then Ashton Jeanty, who was considered a generational prospect by many. Jeanty also proved his receiving chops in 2023 with 43 catches for 569 yards and four touchdowns. So, the four running backs in front of him have incredible profiles. My concern for Hampton in half ppr leagues goes dramatically down, but in full ppr, we could see him struggle, giving ceiling performances. That especially reigns true if he is in a committee to start his career. And this has been the reports, even if Najee Harris were to miss time, Hampton would still find himself in a committee.

Temper expectations for Hampton in year one, but also do not be surprised to see his dynasty value start to fall into the late tens or early teens if he is not scoring points early. The risk of that is why he is one of my favorite dynasty sells at the moment.

Garrett Wilson

Wilson would have been my dynasty sell at the position even without Justin Fields struggling in camp. The struggles, unfortunately, make the choice even easier. Wilson is entering his fourth year and coming off a WR11 finish in total points, but a WR18 finish in points per game. Now, Aaron Rodgers, who was great for fantasy production, leaves town. The team was fifth in passing attempts per game with 35.7. Justin Fields did not hit 35 passing attempts in a game last year. That is unlikely to change this year.

So, while Garrett Wilson is the number one option with Davante Adams gone, he also loses his quarterback. Wilson could be force-fed targets in the new offense and take the next step as a receiver. We have seen Justin Fields do it with D.J. Moore in Chicago. Moore finished as WR6 in 2023. That outcome feels extremely unlikely with head coach Aaron Glenn and the promising running back room they have in New York.

Tiering Down Brings Many Options

Several other wide receivers are valued lower than Wilson and have more stable quarterback play. Rashee Rice and Tee Higgins are two potential options when tiering down. Tetairoa McMillan and Travis Hunter also have lower ADPs if you want to go the rookie upside route. So there are many options to pivot off Wilson, whose value may tank if he has a down year with Justin Fields. Sell Garrett Wilson if you are looking for some potential stability at the wide receiver position.

Sam Laporta

Even after a down year, Sam Laporta is TE3 in dynasty rankings. That is thanks to a late-season stretch, which saw him score four times in five games. This includes a multi-touchdown game in week 13. Laporta is also ranked highly due to the lack of potential high-end tight ends. Tyler Warren, George Kittle, and Colton Loveland are the three behind him at the position. Warren and Loveland haven’t played a snap yet, while Kittle will turn 32 this season.

Losing the Maestro

Laporta also lost offensive coordinator Ben Johnson this offseason, as he joined the Chicago Bears as head coach. That could lead to some potential rough patches. John Morton is taking over as offensive coordinator. His last coordinator position came in 2017 with the Jets. They finished 29th in total offense that season. However, comparisons aren’t that fair, as he will have significantly more talent on this Lions team.

Morton has had the chance to refine his coaching under several great coaches. That could help him scheme some plays for Sam Laporta. One of Laporta’s most significant problems was his targets. He was 15th in targets per game in 2024. If that target number doesn’t increase, he will soon struggle to find himself as a top five dynasty tight end.

Tiering down into the three previously mentioned tight ends would be a fantastic option. Contenders can go after Kittle, while rebuilders can go after Warren and Loveland. That difference in ADP means you’ll likely get a decent plus with any of them. I prefer the three other tight ends over Sam Laporta, which is why he is one of my favorite dynasty sells.

Conclusion

There are many potential dynasty sells whose ADPs are a tad too high. Remember, it is ADPs that we don’t like; nothing against the player. The season starting soon means those values and ADPs will change quickly week by week. However, there is still plenty of time to make trades. So don’t be afraid to make big moves before the season starts. Best of luck and happy trading!
