It’s yet another week where I had to do a little deeper digging to find some defensemen that would be strong streamers who have not not only been hot, but are in good positions to succeed moving forward too.

Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire: Defensemen to Target for Week 11
John Klingberg, San Jose Sharks
John Klingberg has been excellent over the past week and looks to stay hot as the go-to offensive option for the San Jose Sharks. He is on the second pairing with Dmitry Orlov and also on the top power-play unit that can score. Klingberg is also averaging nearly 22 minutes per night, and the Sharks remain competitive every night.
Klingberg has put up four goals and seven points in his last four games. Two of those points have also come on the power play. He isn’t the highest volume shooter, but he has been hitting and blocking shots at a strong rate over the last week. The Sharks have games against the Dallas Stars and Seattle Kraken to close out the week.
Kris Letang, Pittsburgh Penguins
Kris Letang still isn’t getting the top power play treatment to start, but he is producing regardless. He’s playing on the second unit as well as killing penalties. The veteran has points in three straight games and six of his last seven games, totaling six assists and three on the power play.
Letang had a much slower start to the season than what he is accomplishing now. With his improved offensive production comes more shots, consistent hits, and blocked shots. He also finds his way to the box fairly often. The Pittsburgh Penguins have three more games this week against the Ottawa Senators and a home-and-home against the Montreal Canadiens.
Mattias Ekholm, Edmonton Oilers
The Edmonton Oilers have been playing better and scoring more than they did near the start of the season. This helps everyone on the team with more production, especially Mattias Ekholm, who plays on the top pairing with the most offensive defenseman on the team, Evan Bouchard. Ekholm is on the second power-play unit and out there at key times offensively and during the game in general.
He has a goal and five points in the last six games and two goals and nine points in the last 10 games. The Oilers still have matchups against the Boston Bruins, Minnesota Wild, and Vegas Golden Knights this week for Ekholm to continue getting in on the offense. And beyond his offense, he shoots, hits, and blocks shots.

Make sure not to wait and grab one of these defenders for the remainder of this week. They could even prove useful beyond that. And be sure to come back next Monday for the newest streaming suggestions in goal, at forward, and on defense again.
