4 Tight End Sleepers for 2026 Fantasy Football

Finding the right sleeper tight end enables you to attack your other positions early in Fantasy Football. Way easier said than done, though, with the tight end position being the hardest to tackle for Fantasy Football outside the elites at the top. Last season we saw guys like Harold Fannin Jr. and Juwan Johnson get drafted outside the top 20 tight ends for Fantasy Football, but ended up being extremely relevant. I have four tight ends who are also being drafted outside the top 20 for the position in Fantasy Football that can end up being weekly starters in your lineups.

What!? Your fantasy football league wasn’t hosted on Fantrax last season!? Once you see how Fantrax stacks up to the competition, we think you’ll be singing a different tune for this season.

2026 Fantasy Football: 4 Tight End Sleepers

1. Kenyon Sadiq (Jets)

The Jets selected Kenyon Sadiq out of Oregon with the 16th overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. Sadiq finished his final college season with 51 catches for 560 yards and three touchdowns. His 4.39 on the 40-yard dash broke a combine record for tight ends, and his 43.5-inch vertical jump is the second-best tight end score ever. This is an athletic freak who can be effective at all three levels, is a chain mover, a yards-after-catch specialist, and a contested catch winner. Sadiq’s blocking efforts can get him on the field sooner rather than later.

Athletic and explosive tight ends can have plenty of Fantasy Football upside. Garrett Wilson should operate as the alpha through the air for Geno Smith, but that target #2 role is wide open for Sadiq, Omar Cooper Jr., Adonai Mitchell, or Mason Taylor. Sadiq was too high a draft pick not to implement right away, and he can have sneaky red zone upside in the NFL. “What if a guy got ____” is a question we should ask ourselves in Fantasy, and if the end of that sentence is target volume, I will toss my dart at the extremely athletic tight end.

2. TJ Hockenson (Vikings)

The entire Vikings offense was “down” for Fantasy Football in 2025, but Kyler Murray was brought in to elevate the playmakers right back up. Hockenson is looked at as a Fantasy afterthought due to a down 2025 and playing just 10 games in 2024, but people forget his two Vikings seasons before that. In 2023, Hockenson caught 95 of his 127 targets for 960 yards and scored five touchdowns through 15 games. In 2022, Hockenson caught 86 of his 129 targets for 914 yards and scored six touchdowns through 15 games. Hockenson was a top-five Fantasy tight end those seasons in PPG.

The last time Kyler played a full season in 2024, he targeted his tight end, Trey McBride, 147 times. Obviously, Justin Jefferson is the alpha through the air, and Jordan Addison is very talented, but seeing that QB-TE connection should be appealing for Hock. Not long ago, Hockenson was a Fantasy-dominant tight end. We have seen the target-earning potential and the yardage get racked up. At cost, I would love to take a chance on Hockenson, especially if we get any version of the old him.

3. Greg Dulcich (Dolphins)

Mike McDaniel is out of Miami, and Jeff Hafley is in. Tua Tagovailoa is a Falcon, and Malik Willis is a Dolphin. Both Jaylen Waddle and Tyreek Hill are gone, but in come Jalen Tolbert and Tutu Atwell to join Malik Washington. The Dolphins also drafted rookie wide receivers Caleb Douglas, Chris Bell (recovering from injury), and Kevin Coleman Jr., along with tight end Will Kacmarek. This offense has the most question marks in the NFL and has a bottom-two wide receiver room. There is a sneaky chance that Greg Dulcich leads the team in targets this year.

Dulcich flashed as a rookie for the Broncos in 2022 with 411 yards through 10 games. In 2025, Dulcich had some small flashes through 10 games. Dulcich ended up finishing third on the team in yards, with 335. Dulcich finished five weeks with over 40 receiving yards, and in Weeks 14-18, he finished eighth for the position in yards produced. Dulcich has solid yards-after-catch abilities, has proven to be able to be efficient through the air, and can be in store for a consistent target share in Miami this season. This is a sleeper article, but Dulcich likely fits the mold of a breakout tight end this year.

4. AJ Barner (Seahawks)

AJ Barner took a solid sophomore leap in 2025, finishing with 68 targets, 52 catches, 519 receiving yards, and six touchdowns in a Super Bowl-winning season. Barner was the third target for Sam Darnold last season. Barner finished four weeks with six or more targets, five weeks with 40+ receiving yards, two weeks with 70+ receiving yards, scored six touchdowns, scored double-digit Fantasy Points eight times, and scored 15+ Fantasy Points three times.

Kenneth Walker III is now a Chief, and Zach Charbonnet is recovering from an ACL injury. That leaves rookie Jadarian Price with George Holani and Emanuel Wilson from the running back room. The Seahawks threw the ball the fourth-fewest times last season, but with questions in the running back room, that should change. Jaxon Smith-Njigba will continue to dominate targets, but after him, that target #2 role is wide open between Barner, Cooper Kupp, Rashid Shaheed, Tory Horton, and Elijah Arroyo. There is a world where Barner becomes the most reliable second target and takes a big year-three leap for Fantasy Football.
