Best Quarterback Schedules for 2026 Fantasy Football

Strength of schedule is one of many factors you can consider when making a fantasy draft decision, especially at quarterback. Having one of the best fantasy schedules at quarterback allows fantasy managers could exploit good weekly matchups with streaming options. Or they could target elite options who have some of the softest schedules in the league to lock in a bona fide QB1 for fantasy. In this article, I will highlight four quarterbacks with easy schedules that fantasy managers should be targeting in drafts.

What!? Your fantasy football league wasn’t hosted on Fantrax last season!? Once you see how Fantrax stacks up to the competition, we think you’ll be singing a different tune this season

Quarterbacks with the Best Fantasy Schedules

Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles

A bounce-back is in store for Hurts and this Eagles roster. Yes, they did lose A.J. Brown this offseason to the New England Patriots. However, this offense can still be potent, and they have the schedule to prove it. Hurts has the easiest schedule among any quarterback in terms of fantasy matchups. Thanks in part to six games against the NFC East. All three teams were in the top 11 of fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks, while the Dallas Cowboys took the top spot in that category.

In addition to those division games, they will have three additional games against teams that were in the top seven in fantasy points allowed at the position. (Bears, Steelers, Titans) So, a good opportunity to get the offense humming under new offensive coordinator Sean Mannion. He will adapt the McVay and Shannahan system, which has been a welcome sight for the players in Philadelphia so far.

As for the rest of the roster, injuries have plagued the Eagles thus far, with DeVonta Smith and Makai Lemon missing time with hamstring injuries. However, the receiver room is deeper heading into 2026 than it has been in recent memory. Dontavion Wicks and Elijah Moore have been impressing in training camp. Early reports indicate that Wicks will be the second wide receiver to start the season, as Lemon gets up to speed after missing a majority of practices. The team also has Hollywood Brown on the depth chart. So if Lemon needs time to heal and adjust to the pro level, the Eagles will be covered. The offense can afford for Lemon and fellow rookie Eli Stowers to sit. Although this team needs DeVonta Smith healthy to run at the level it needs, the good news is that he should be fully healthy soon.

What is the Ceiling?

The sky is the limit for this Philadelphia offense if they can get things to click early under Sean Mannion. I have Jalen Hurts as QB5 for fantasy heading into the 2026 season, thanks to an easy schedule and the inevitable tush pushes called throughout the season.

It is also worth noting that in the playoffs, managers will likely still start Hurts, but matchups against the Houston Texans and Seattle Seahawks in two of the final three weeks of the fantasy season are less than ideal. However, we still have about 20 weeks to get there.

Trevor Lawrence, Jacksonville Jaguars

Last season was a breakout for Trevor Lawrence under new head coach Liam Coen. The quarterback finally looked the part of the generational prospect he was coming out of Clemson all those years ago. Now, he gets a chance to follow up that season with one of the easier schedules in the league. Early in the season, Lawrence has some tough matchups, including the Houston Texans, Philadelphia Eagles, and Denver Broncos. However, his late-season schedule more than makes up for that. Highlighted by a fantasy football semifinal against the Dallas Cowboys in Dallas. The lead-up to that matchup includes the Pittsburgh Steelers, Tennessee Titans, and Chicago Bears in three of the four weeks before that semifinal. The only rough spot will be the Houston Texans in the first round of the playoffs.

That shouldn’t affect decisions to draft Lawrence, as he showed his true potential in a new offense. One that lost Travis Etienne in the offseason. And one that has seen multiple receivers emerge to the point where the receiver room is too crowded to get them all on the field. It is a great problem to have, and one that will likely lead Lawrence to another top fantasy finish this season. He is currently QB7 in my rankings and could finish top three at the position.

Kyler Murray, Minnesota Vikings

Murray was recently named the starter for the Vikings. And no matter the many varying opinions on Kyler, from backup to still a prominent quarterback. One thing is for certain: he is set up to score fantasy points in 2026. We saw what Sam Darnold did in Kevin O’Connell’s system, finishing as QB11 in points per game and QB9 overall. Murray’s fantasy ceiling is higher due to his rushing, as we have already seen him post a top-five season at the position. It should be noted that this was due to 11 touchdowns.

Murray’s ADP is currently QB17, and before last season he has never averaged below 17.5 fantasy points per game. That figure would have put him at QB15 last year. With a better offensive staff and star receiver Justin Jefferson, Murray could be fantasy gold this season. I currently have him ranked right above that at QB16. The ceiling with an easy schedule could be a low-end quarterback one range with the easy schedule. He is the perfect late-round quarterback in drafts this season. Murray starts his season against a Green Bay Packers team that will be without Micah Parsons and a Chicago Bears team that gave up the fourth most passing touchdowns last season.

Fantasy managers who like to wait until the late rounds for the position may have a gem on their hands with Murray if everything can click for him, as he hopes to be the next veteran who reshapes his career with a new franchise, such as Baker Mayfield and the previously mentioned Sam Darnold.

Potential Waiver Wire Stream

C.J. Stroud, Houston Texans

It can be argued that no quarterback needs a bigger year than C.J. Stroud does after crushing every expectation and then some in year one. The Ohio State quarterback has regressed in his two seasons since. So much so that the Texans will wait to extend him; imagine hearing that two years ago. That is why the NFL stands for “not for long”; things can change in an instant.

As for his fantasy schedule, he could have claimed the number one spot for quarterbacks if his second matchup with the Titans did not fall on Week 18, after the fantasy football playoffs are wrapped up. However, Stroud’s most productive stretch may happen early in the season. After his Week 1 matchup with the Buffalo Bills, Stroud and the Texans will play six straight games against teams that were in the top 14 in fantasy points surrendered to the quarterback position.

Despite one of the best schedules, Stroud will still have his hands full. An offseason injury to Jayden Higgins and an offensive line that still desperately needs improvement won’t help. Stroud will have to step up in a tough spot, and should be considered nothing more than a bench stash in redraft. I currently have Stroud ranked as QB22, dropping a spot after the injury to Higgins.

Conclusion

These three quarterbacks with some of the best schedules will cost varying draft picks heading into the season. And it all depends on managers’ risk management. If it is an elite quarterback a manager wants but does not want to pay the three- to four-round premium on Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson. Jalen Hurts fits in at the position that carries similar week-to-week upside, with an elite strength of schedule, but will not cost a premium pick at the start of drafts. Lawrence will offer much of the same, with an elite offensive environment, an elite coach, and great pass-catchers.

Murray and Stroud will be perfect for the managers who want to wait it out and potentially stream quarterback. Especially with quarterback being the easiest position to stream, when accounting for some of the best schedules, Hurts and Lawrence will be perfect targets early if managers miss out on the extremely early guys at the position. Overall, quarterback is as deep as it has ever been. So, there are many different strategies that could work depending on how the draft board falls.
