Welcome to our Week 6 Fantasy Football Quarterback Rankings!
Last week, Jayden Daniels rewarded managers who inserted him back into the lineup despite a dislocated left elbow with 32.3 fantasy points, which included 87 yards on the ground and two rushing touchdowns. But he did not finish as the QB1, as those honors went to Drake Maye, who compiled 39.5 fantasy points. And, of course, Josh Allen did his thing on Monday night, totaling 31.5 fantasy points which included his first-ever overtime victory in his career.
While I can brag about having Jacoby Brissett in my top five last week as he finished tied with Jordan Love as the QB7 with 25.3 fantasy points, it didn’t come without a roller coaster. He struggled most of the game and got blown out, but garbage time fantasy points still equate to the same fantasy points, so all’s well that ends well!

Week 5 Duds & Bounce-Back Targets
On the flip side, Week 5 had a few duds, including a 7.9 fantasy point performance from Bo Nix. Justin Herbert continued his tumultuous season with 11.2 fantasy points, finishing as the QB23, and Jalen Hurts finished as the QB21 with 13 fantasy points.
While Jalen Hurts has been a disappointment, he draws an extremely tasty matchup at home against a Panthers team coming off a bye week. You can bet he will use his legs to keep up with the scorching Bryce Young on the other side of the ball!
Without further ado, here are my Week 6 Fantasy Football Quarterback Rankings!
Tier 1: League of His Own
1) Josh Allen (@ LV)
Josh Allen (QB1): As the consensus QB1 on the season, Allen is averaging an absurd 29.2 fantasy points per game—nearly 6 full points ahead of the second-best quarterback, Brock Purdy (23.7 PPG). Allen is an absolute auto-start every single week regardless of matchup.
Tier 2: Elite QB1s
2) Brock Purdy (vs. WAS) | 3) Matthew Stafford (vs. ARI) | 4) Lamar Jackson (@ CLE) | 5) Jayden Daniels (@ SF) | 6) Drake Maye (vs. NYJ)
Brock Purdy (QB2): It hurt moving Purdy down my rankings last week, and going up against a very tough Seattle defense, he predictably finished in the middle of the pack. This week, he draws a very favorable matchup against the Washington Commanders on Monday Night Football, a unit allowing the fourth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks over the last three weeks.
Jayden Daniels (QB5): If Purdy is going to have a field day at home against that Commanders defense, Jayden Daniels will have to do everything required in San Francisco to keep up with him. Expect Daniels to use his legs a ton and easily post QB1 numbers.
Tier 3: High-End QBs with Upside
7) Bryce Young (@ PHI) | 8) Caleb Williams (@ ATL) | 9) Jalen Hurts (vs. CAR) | 10) Jordan Love (vs. DAL) | 11) Patrick Mahomes (vs. LAC) | 12) Dak Prescott (@ GB)
Bryce Young (QB7): Young returns off the bye week to face an Eagles defense surrendering the seventh-most fantasy points to quarterbacks over the past three weeks. He is coming off a stellar Week 4 performance where he finished as the QB6 with 21.5 fantasy points.
Jalen Hurts (QB9): On the other side of that matchup, Hurts draws a favorable spot going up against a Panthers defense allowing the 13th-most fantasy points to quarterbacks over the past three weeks. I expect him to run, run, run, run to keep pace with Bryce Young—something that was certainly not on my bingo card to say in Week 6, but here we are!
Tier 4: Talented with Matchup Volatility
13) Kirk Cousins (vs. BUF) | 14) Tyler Shough (@ NYG) | 15) Trevor Lawrence (vs. HOU) | 16) Jameis Winston (vs. NO) | 17) C.J. Stroud (@ JAC)
Tyler Shough (QB14): Shough had his first down game of the season last week, accumulating an absolutely dreadful 1.8 fantasy points to finish as the QB31 behind Fernando Mendoza (2.2 points in relief of Kirk Cousins). Expect a massive bounce-back game against a Giants defense allowing the 12th-most fantasy points to quarterbacks over the past three weeks.
Jameis Winston (QB16): Winston has put up excellent fantasy numbers over the past two weeks. Now he draws another great matchup at home against the Saints, who have been middle-of-the-pack in points allowed to QBs over the last three weeks. He’s been on fire targeting ascending stars Malik Nabers and Isaiah Likely—keep him locked in, especially in Superflex leagues.
Tier 5: QB2s with Some Upside
18) Jacoby Brissett (@ LAR) | 19) Sam Darnold (@ DEN) | 20) Bo Nix (vs. SEA) | 21) Aaron Rodgers (@ TB)
Sam Darnold (QB19) & Bo Nix (QB20): I am low-key a huge fan of this matchup as the Seahawks travel to Denver. I can see this going one of two ways: a low-scoring, grind-it-out brawl, or a quiet barnburner with plenty of upside. Expect Nix to use his legs while Darnold throws all over the field to Jaxon Smith-Njigba, especially with the Broncos missing Pat Surtain II.
Tier 6: Floor QB2 Options
22) Justin Herbert (@ KC) | 23) Cam Ward (@ IND) | 24) Deshaun Watson (vs. BAL) | 25) Michael Penix Jr. (vs. CHI)
Tier 7: Deep Superflex & Desperation Plays
26) Geno Smith (@ NE) | 27) Jalon Daniels (vs. PIT) | 28) Daniel Jones (vs. TEN)
