Week 6 was a weird mix of events in its entirety. The injuries are starting to pile up at the position, and now there are more bye weeks for Week 7. All this and the unpredictable workloads create boom-or-bust scenarios, which are not fun, but that’s the nature of the position. Below are the pickups you should consider for Week 7.

Week 7 Running Back Streamers
Kendre Miller
Miller hasn’t exactly been lighting up the fantasy scoreboard over the past two weeks, but there’s still a reason to keep him on your radar. In Week 6, he led the Saints with 22 touches in their win over the Giants. Since Week 5, Miller has accounted for 35.5% of the team’s total touches, which is enough to make him worth adding. Miller is primarily an early-down back, and he finished Sunday with 20 carries for 70 yards. He also caught both of his targets, although neither reception resulted in any yardage.
The biggest concern is the Saints’ struggling ground game. Their offensive line hasn’t done Miller many favors, and he’s averaging just 3.1 yards per carry. Still, volume matters in fantasy football, especially with bye weeks creating holes in your lineup. Miller has handled 30 carries over the past two weeks, giving him a solid opportunity to contribute as a depth option.
The Saints play the Steelers in Week 7 before heading into their Week 8 bye, so the matchup isn’t exactly a dream scenario. He’s worth a look.
Roschon Johnson
Johnson made the most of his opportunity in the Bears’ win over the Falcons, finishing with 13 carries for 51 yards and a touchdown while adding two receptions for 34 yards. That performance was good for 14.5 fantasy points, and he finished the game with 15 total touches.
With Kyle Monangai sidelined by turf toe for the second straight week, Johnson has stepped into a larger role behind D’Andre Swift. He’s now handled 25 touches over the past two games, making him an intriguing name to monitor as we navigate the bye weeks.
The big question is whether Johnson can maintain that workload against the Patriots in Week 7. I wouldn’t automatically expect another 15-touch performance, especially considering the Bears ran 77 offensive plays and controlled the ball for more than 40 minutes against Atlanta.
Still, Chicago has a strong rushing attack, and Johnson has shown he can make an impact when given the opportunity.  He’s not someone I’d blindly throw into every lineup, but if you’re dealing with injuries or bye-week issues, he deserves consideration.
Week 7 Running Back Sleepers
RB Tyrone Tracy Jr.
The Giants’ backfield situation has become a real mystery. Cam Skattebo didn’t record a single touch in Week 6 and was used more a fullback than his natural position, which was odd.
Tracy Jr. took advantage of his opportunity, finishing with 45 total yards and two touchdowns while playing 26 snaps in a rotation that also included Najee Harris and Devin Singletary.
The Giants could return to a different rotation in Week 7, and there’s no guarantee Tracy will maintain his role.
RB Jawhar Jordan
Jordan made his opportunity count in Week 6, rushing six times for 43 yards and a touchdown while adding seven receiving yards on his lone target. His biggest moment came on a 25-yard touchdown run in the third quarter, showing the type of explosiveness that could earn him another opportunity.
Jordan played 14 of Houston’s 63 offensive snaps in the Texans’ 34-31 win over the Jaguars in London. With Montgomery sidelined, he served as a change-of-pace option behind Woody Marks and gave the coaching staff a reason to consider keeping him involved.
If Montgomery remains out against the Giants, Jordan could see another increase in playing time and potentially handle a more meaningful workload. Marks would still be in the mix, so I wouldn’t treat Jordan as an automatic starter, but the upside is worth monitoring.
