7 Fantasy Basketball Streamers for Week 3

Welcome to Fantasy Basketball Streamers for Week 3!

Week 2 welcomed Cooper Flagg back with open arms after he missed a game and a half with a shoulder injury. He posted massive averages of 29.3 points, 6.7 rebounds, 8.3 assists, 2.3 steals, and 1.3 blocks in just over 37 minutes per game—good for 57.9 fantasy points! Whether this pace is sustainable or not, Flagg is clearly on his way toward a massive sophomore breakout as the overall No. 3 ranked player over the past week.

Meanwhile, Jamal Murray surged into top-10 production, dropping 50.3 fantasy points per game behind 30.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, 6.3 assists, and 1.3 steals in 38.5 minutes.

Lastly, I have to highlight Karl-Anthony Towns—a player I mentioned last week as a prime buy-low candidate following his slow start. Towns was the 16th overall player in points leagues over the past week, averaging 44.7 fantasy points with 22.5 points, a whopping 14.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 1.0 stock in just over 32 minutes per game. I hope you were able to buy low!

Week 2 Performance & Buy-Low Targets

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (PG – OKC)

Not sure if you can call it a true slump, but Shai Gilgeous-Alexander finished outside the top 20 over the past week, averaging 41.7 fantasy points—a far cry from the 47.9 fantasy points he posted in Week 1. SGA hasn’t topped 36.3 fantasy points in any of his last three games. With the injury bug severely biting Oklahoma City, it’s worth kicking the tires to see if an impatient manager is panicking so you can secure a clear top-5 overall asset without giving up a king’s ransom.

Amen Thompson (SG/SF/PF – HOU)

Amen Thompson had his worst outing of the season on Halloween night, accumulating just 16.1 fantasy points. However, context is everything: it came during a blowout, and he briefly left the game due to an eye injury before returning. If you have managers in your league who just stare at box scores without knowing the story behind the game, this is your prime window to swoop in and buy low.

Lauri Markkanen (SF/PF – UTA)

Lauri Markkanen returned from a wrist injury that cost him nearly two games and struggled mightily from the field (3-for-14). Still, he salvaged his fantasy night with six rebounds, two steals, and two blocks, finishing with 31.7 fantasy points in a blowout loss to the Trail Blazers. Now fully healthy and with four games on Utah’s docket for Week 3, Markkanen is a priority buy-low target before he bounces back from his off-shooting night on October 31.

Take advantage of these short-term dips and see if you can catch a rival manager sleeping!

Week 3 Fantasy Basketball Streamers

De’Andre Hunter (SF/PF – Sacramento Kings)

After three straight mediocre games to start the season, Hunter has been on fire over his past three contests. During this stretch, he is averaging 30.8 fantasy points, 22.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.0 assist, and 1.0 stock in 34 minutes per game. He’s scored 24, 24, and 19 points, respectively, and hit double-digit shot attempts for three straight games. As long as Keegan Murray remains sidelined, Hunter is worth adding and streaming—especially with Sacramento’s heavy four-game slate on tap for Week 3.

Jaxson Hayes (C – Utah Jazz)

Hayes has stepped into the starting lineup over the past two games. Despite scoring just 7 and 2 points in those outings, the 26-year-old center is averaging 26.3 fantasy points, 4.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and a massive 3.0 stocks (1.5 STL, 1.5 BLK) across 28.6 minutes per game. With Jaren Jackson Jr. and Jusuf Nurkic sidelined, Hayes should continue starting and maintain a high fantasy floor through defensive stats and rebounding. He has a clear roster spot at the end of your bench in points formats and offers immediate FG%, REB, and defensive stock value in category leagues.

Isaiah Jackson (C – Los Angeles Clippers)

Jackson offers a very similar fantasy profile to Hayes, but with one key difference: Jackson appears locked into the starting spot for the remainder of the season barring injury or a rotation shift. Named the starter on opening night, he’s only had one off game, logging fantasy totals of 21.0, 27.7, 28.2, 11.5, and 44.4 points. His Friday performance against Minnesota showed off his elite ceiling, posting 10 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals, and 4 blocks (44.4 fantasy points) in just 22 minutes. He is a per-minute monster who only needs 20 to 25 minutes to make a major impact. While the Clippers play just three games in Week 3, they open with a Monday/Wednesday schedule, allowing you to stream him early, drop him for midweek games, and potentially pick him back up for Sunday.

Scoot Henderson (PG – Portland Trail Blazers)

Spoiler alert: Henderson is my top pickup and streamer of the week while Ja Morant is sidelined over the next four weeks. While many assumed Jrue Holiday would step straight into the starting point guard role with Morant out, it was the 22-year-old Henderson who drew the start on Halloween night. He played 31 minutes, logging 14 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, and 3 steals (24.1 fantasy points). While he didn’t blow the doors off the gym, sticking in the starting rotation gives Henderson a high floor and the explosive upside for spike games, making him an urgent add across all formats.

Nolan Traoré (PG – Brooklyn Nets)

Traoré was a favorite streamer of mine during his rookie year, and he has now started three straight games for the Nets. Over those three starts, the 20-year-old is averaging 26.3 fantasy points, 13.7 points, 1.7 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.3 steals, and 1.3 blocks in 24.7 minutes per night. With Egor Demin sidelined and Mikal Brown Jr. battling injuries, Traoré should see plenty of run in Brooklyn’s first unit. Even with Julius Randle and Michael Porter Jr. handling heavy usage, Traoré stays fantasy-relevant through defense and shot volume (10+ shot attempts per game over his last three), making him a reliable, floor-raising bench option in deeper leagues.

Cameron Johnson (SF/PF – Denver Nuggets)

Waiver wires are thin in Week 3 as sharp managers gobble up early talent, making Cam Johnson an ideal pickup coming off his 3-game injury absence. Inserted straight into Denver’s starting lineup on Friday against Phoenix, Johnson logged 34 minutes and produced 28.3 fantasy points (12 PTS, 9 REB, 3 AST, 1 STL). As long as he’s starting for Denver, his 25 to 35 nightly minutes give him a dependable floor—and it’s encouraging that he still produced a solid fantasy line despite a poor 5-for-13 shooting night. Although Denver plays just three games in Week 3, they feature great matchups against Portland (Mon), Toronto (Wed), and Indiana (Sat), allowing you to maximize his production before flipping his slot for a Sunday streamer.

Dennis Schröder (PG – Charlotte Hornets)

I know, I know—we all have a bit of Dennis Schröder fatigue. He’s often viewed as a safe, albeit mediocre fantasy option. However, he currently holds the keys to this Hornets offense with Coby White (calf) and Kon Knueppel (hamstring) on the shelf, and in points leagues, any starting point guard getting this volume deserves a look.

Despite an atrocious 1-for-11 shooting night on October 31 against the 76ers, he still logged nearly 35 minutes and dished out 7 assists. Prior to that bump in the road, the 33-year-old veteran was on a steady run over his previous four outings, averaging 26.5 fantasy points, 13.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 1.0 steal in 34.3 minutes per game. Schröder deserves a look in virtually all points leagues with 10 teams or more, as he is locked into heavy minutes for as long as Coby White remains out.

Week 3 Streaming Priority Rankings

  1. Scoot Henderson
  2. Jaxson Hayes
  3. Dennis Schröder
  4. Isaiah Jackson (3 games)
  5. De’Andre Hunter
  6. Nolan Traore
  7. Cameron Johnson

These rankings prioritize players offering the best combination of weekly game volume, favorable scheduling spots, recent production, and the potential for increased minutes and usage during this stretch.

Final Thoughts

That’s the blueprint for Week 3.

Don’t overreact to Week 2 numbers—stay balanced, stick to your strategy, and prioritize maximizing total games on your weekly schedule. The fantasy managers who remain active working the waiver wire, take quick advantage of injury-opened roles, and optimize their weekly volume are the ones who position themselves for long-term winning.
