In the world of Daily Fantasy Football, it is about riding with the hot hand. Even better if that hot hand has not touched the majority of the general public quite yet. This is how we can find the best Week 6 DFS values.
There are some good matchups to exploit this week. The Raiders, for instance, will host the Seahawks. The common Fantasy Football player assumes the Seahawks do not have a run game. Nay, I say. Nay. The Seahawks are eighth in the NFL in rushing yards.
The Raiders have given up 24.20 Fantasy points per game to running backs in standard leagues. This number would be substantially bigger but the Dolphins running backs somehow managed one Fantasy point against Oakland in Week 3. That’s right. One Fantasy point. Needless to say, there is one Seattle running back I feel great about this week in DFS. Let’s jump into the Week 6 DFS values.
Week 6 DFS Values
Chris Carson, Seattle Seahawks
We may just have to accept what we have seen out of the Seahawks rushing attack in the last three weeks. In Week 3 against the Cowboys, Chris Carson had 32 carries for 102 yards and a touchdown. Teams do not have 30-carry rushers anymore in the NFL. If that number does not prove that the Seahawks are trying to be a run-first team again, I don’t know what will.
When Mike Davis carried the load in Week 4, it was encouraging to see him get 21 carries for over 100 yards. Carson made it three weeks in a row for a Seahawks 100-yard rusher last week with 116 yards on 19 carries. Carson and Davis have seemed to establish a split in touches that may benefit them both. Carson’s 19 carries against the Rams outpaced Davis’ 16.
Carson will try and make it four straight games of 100 rushing yards against a Raiders team who has been generous to the position. He is only $4,400 on DraftKings.
Tevin Coleman, Atlanta Falcons
Coleman could be in line for an expanded role this weekend, Devonta Freeman popped up on the injury report yet again on Wednesday – this time with a bone contusion in his foot.
If Freeman, who missed practice Wednesday, were to not play against the Buccaneers, Coleman’s $5,400 price tag is a steal.
In Week 11 last season Coleman had 19 carries for 97 yards and two touchdowns against the Buccaneers in a game that he started. Game script should be about the same with the Falcons being ahead and having ample opportunity to score.
The Buccaneer’s No. 6 rush defense is deceiving as they were ahead in the first two games and teams have generally used the pass to burn them. The Falcons should have no problems passing the ball and Coleman excels as a pass-catcher.
Keep an eye on the injury report. While Coleman does have stand-alone value, he is a week-winner if Freeman does not suit up.
