Fantasy Football Week 10 is in the books and with it came the gift that keeps on giving. Stats. At the conclusion of each week for the 2019 fantasy football season, I will be sifting through all of the fantasy football stats produced. I will filter out stats I find noteworthy or valuable to pay attention to moving forward. I hope this list of stats encourages you to stop and assess the possible impact each stat could have on fantasy values in NFL Week 11 and beyond. Conversely, stats are fun. Enjoy each one for what it is and don’t overthink everything presented.

12 Fantasy Football Stats to get you ready for NFL Week 11
All stats listed are based on .5 PPR.
1.) Christian Kirk became the seventh WR this season to have three or more touchdown receptions in a single game. It was the first, second, & third time he found the end zone in 2019. He finished Week 10 with six receptions on 10 targets for 138 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He also finished the week as the #1 fantasy WR. As amazing of a day this was for Kirk, there are a couple of things to consider. This was against the Buccaneers defense who is notoriously known for their awful passing defense. This was just his second game of the season with 100+ yards. Don’t start playing him over your studs in the hopes this performance repeats itself. Lucky Kirk gets a difficult matchup to bring him back down to earth against the 49ers in Week 11.
2.) Lamar Jackson was the best QB in Week 10. He completed 15 of 17 attempts for 223 yards, 3 TDs, and 0 INTs. Jackson added 65 yards and another TD on the ground. I don’t have to tell you to start him every week regardless of matchup. There have been 4 QBs with a perfect passer rating this season. Aaron Rodgers, Deshaun Watson, Dak Prescott, and Lamar Jackson. Jackson is the only one on the shortlist to be perfect in more than one game (Week 1 & 10). Lamar Jackson is legit. Did you see that spin move!?!? He’s also one of only four QBs to throw 5 TDs in a single game this season.
3.) A possible late-season value at the tight end position for you. Seahawks TE, Jacob Hollister earned 10 targets in Week 10. He caught 8 of those targets for 62 yards and a TD. Hollister now has 12 receptions on 16 targets and 3 TDs in the last two weeks. He could still be sitting on your waiver wire as the Seahawks are on bye in Week 11. He’s definitely worth a shot in your TE spot moving forward. As we all know, TEs are a wasteland for fantasy football so you have nothing to lose here.
4.) David Johnson scored a total of -0.5 fantasy points in Week 10. That’s a grand total of -0.3 points over his last two games played. I know he’s been injured but if you haven’t seen how slow he looks CLICK HERE. It’s pretty alarming. This could be the beginning of the end for the David Johnson we once knew. Hopefully, if you own him, your trade deadline hasn’t passed if you know what I mean…(trade him).
5.) Rookie, Darius Slayton had a career game for the Giants in Week 10. He recorded 10 catches on 14 targets for 128 yards and two TDs. This was the second time in three weeks Slayton had a multi-touchdown day. Even though he hasn’t been a consistent target in this offense, he is worth a roster spot with a decent ceiling, especially if Sterling Shepard and Evan Engram continue to miss time.
6.) One of my favorite players heading into this season (I actually was not a fan prior to this offseason), Derrick Henry was the #1 RB for fantasy in Week 10. He rushed the ball 23 times (4th best among RBs in Week 10) for 188 yards and 2 TDs. This was only the second time Henry has rushed for over 100 yards this season, but what’s important in fantasy? Scoring! He has scored a TD in seven games and has double-digit fantasy points in all but two games this season. I’m going to keep talking about Derrick Henry for the rest of the season. Just letting you know now.
7.) Melvin Gordon is officially back! He finished Week 10 as the #5 RB. over 100 yards and a TD on 22 carries. This was the second week in a row where Gordon had 20 or more carries. His holdout hurt his fantasy perception as it took weeks for him to look like his old self and the Chargers didn’t want to completely get away from Austin Ekeler. The tide is turning now and it’s time to buy him if you can. If you’re worried about drafting him next year he’s already been on record expressing his regret for holding out and that he’d never do it again.
8.) Joe Mixon became the first RB this season to rush the ball 30 times in a game. Prior to last week, Mixon hadn’t eclipsed 20 rush attempts in a game in 2019. The Bengals did recently make a change at QB which could benefit Mixon’s volume moving forward. Regardless, don’t overreact to this performance. It’s likely an outlier. The Bengals are awful and Joe Mixon hasn’t scored a single rushing TD this season as a result. Sell him high while you can.
9.) The Los Angeles Rams continue to amaze us and not in a good way. Jared Goff finished Week 10 as the #26 QB. He completed just 22 of his 41 attempts for 243 yards, 0 TDs, and 2 INTs. The most amazing thing about Goff’s horrible day is that he failed to connect with Cooper Kupp on a single pass. Goff provides a decent ceiling but his floor is too volatile to trust in your fantasy lineups.
10.) Deebo Samuel had his best game of the season last weekend, catching 8 of 11 targets for 112 yards. Samuel quickly became Jimmy G’s favorite target once Emmanuel Sanders went down due to injury. Deebo Samuel is an extremely talented WR and this game showcased that. This could be a good sign for things to come as his QB will likely need to lean on him more with Kittle and Sanders dealing with injuries. Not a bad depth piece to have this late in the season.
11.) D.K. Metcalf may have disappointed this week with that fumble on the goal-line in Week 10. For those of you that were worried about Josh Gordon’s presence, you can breathe. Metcalf was still targeted 10 times in this game. Keep him in your lineups as a potential boom candidate going forward, especially if Tyler Lockett misses some time.
12.) It pains me to say this but Damien Williams may have earned his starting role back in the Kansas City Chiefs’ offense. He has 19 carries in Week 10 and now has double-digit carries in each of the last 2 weeks. He also has a combined 202 yards on the ground in those weeks. He could be available for you to add to your roster as we get closer to the fantasy playoffs. He was dropped by a ton of people prior to last week’s game. I’m not a fan of his talent but if he’s going to get the volume as a Chief, you’ll want that on your team.
