Kyler Murray should return this week, after being sidelined since Week 9 with an ankle injury. However, be sure to monitor his status throughout the week, as nothing is official yet. If Murray plays, he’s my QB6 for the week. Outside of Murray’s return, the fantasy playoffs are looming, and four teams are on their byes this week. There’s much to consider when setting your lineups this week, so let’s go ahead and take a look at my Week 13 quarterback rankings.

Week 13 Quarterback Notes
Week 13 Byes: CAR, CLE, GB, TEN
- Jalen Hurts came crashing back down to earth last week. After rushing for three touchdowns in Week 11, he failed to score a touchdown — either in the air or on the ground — in Week 12; he also threw three interceptions. Hurts should fare better this week against the Jets, who allow the tenth-most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks. Hurts is dealing with a sore ankle, but is still a top-five option for me this week. UPDATE: Hurts is unlikely to play in Week 13. Gardner Minshew will get the start for the Eagles, and is a decent streaming option against the Jets.
- Derek Carr has a fantastic matchup this week against Washington. The Football Team has given up 26 passing touchdowns on the season — tied for league-most. They also allow the most fantasy football points to quarterbacks. Carr is coming off a week where he threw for 373 receiving yards and a touchdown against the Cowboys. I expect more of the same this week. Consider Carr a back-end QB1 this week.
- It looks like a quarterback change is underway in New Orleans, as Taysom Hill is taking first-team reps this week. Similar to Cam Newton, Hill is known for his rushing ability instead of his passing skills. If he gets the start on Thursday night, Hill could play himself into QB1 territory.
