Best Wide Receiver Schedules for 2025 Fantasy Football

Third in the series, we have the best fantasy schedules for wide receivers. If your favorite team is in the AFC West or NFC East and not the Eagles or Broncos, you likely won’t see them on the list. Two times a year, against Patrick Surtain and the combination of Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean will easily land your squad on the hardest schedule list. However, despite these teams being off the list instantly, plenty of good schedules remain to target. Below are three wide receiver rooms with the best schedules for fantasy.

What!? Your fantasy football league wasn’t hosted on Fantrax last season!? Once you see how Fantrax stacks up to the competition, we think you’ll be singing a different tune in the 2025 season.

Recievers with the Best Fantasy Schedules

Tyreek Hill & Jaylen Waddle

One of these two will likely be a league winner by the time we hit January. The Dolphins will enter 2025 with one of the worst defenses in the league. Jonnu Smith is now on the Steelers, so the majority of the targets will be heading in one of three directions. Hill, Waddle, and De’Von Achane should see most of the team’s targets this year. Miami was tied for the seventh most passing attempts per game, with Tua Tagovailoa missing time. So the sky is the limit for these two, especially with an easier schedule.

The Playoff Stretch

As for the playoffs, the Miami Dolphins have one of the best fantasy schedules they see the Bengals in week 16. The game is at home, so there’s little chance of weather impacting it. This game has the opportunity to finish with 80+ points. Both defenses are projected to be in the bottom third of the league. Tanner McKee and the Eagles’ second team put on a show against the first-team Bengals defense. Miami lacks help at the corner position without Jalen Ramsey, who is now on the Steelers, and Kader Kohou, who is missing the year with a knee injury. This game has all the makings of a shootout, and I will be looking to acquire these players before my trade deadlines this season.

The week after, the Miami Dolphins will stay at home to face off against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Buccaneers have a better defense and will get a boost with Antoine Winfield Jr. fully healthy. The league’s second-highest paid safety missed eight games last season with knee and ankle injuries. Despite that, the Buccaneers gave up the third-most passing yards per game in 2024. So, there are two great matchups to end the season for Miami, and there is all the incentive in the world to throw the ball. My bold prediction is that one of these two receivers will be in the top five players on rosters to advance to the fantasy championship.

D.K. Metcalf

The newly acquired wide receiver will have a lot on his plate in his first season in the Steel City. He does have the benefit of having one of the best schedules at the position in the league. Outside of Cincinnati, the Steelers also get to play the Browns twice. Those are four easy matchups without question. The team also gets Detroit and Miami in the fantasy playoffs, with the Browns in week 18. Two games where they will be throwing the ball a ton to end the season.

Rounding out the schedule are two games against the Ravens, who gave up the sixth most passing yards in 2024, and a game with Minnesota, which gave up the fourth most. Now, Minnesota has a great defense, but teams will be forced to throw against them with their weaker secondary compared to the defensive front seven.

All in all, an excellent schedule for Metcalf, who will command a heavy amount of targets. Rodgers helped Davante Adams to a WR9 in PPG in his time with the Jets. Metcalf likely won’t have that impact in an Arthur Smith offense, but WR14 feels like a fair ceiling for someone of Metcalf’s caliber.

Drake London & Darnell Mooney

I will keep this short, as I mentioned Bijan Robinson in the previous article. Atlanta has a dream fantasy schedule this season for offensive skill positions. They get the NFC South for six games. All three teams had bottom-eight passing defenses in 2024. They will also see Minnesota in the second week of the season, along with Buffalo and Miami, early in the year. Every member of the Falcons offense is set up to feast in 2025. I recommend getting a piece of this offense.

Darnell Mooney is currently injured, with his week one status up in the air. However, if your league has injured reserve spots, he may be worth a late-round dart throw to get a piece of this offense. Drake London’s stretch with Michael Penix has the arrow pointing up for him as a potential top-five receiver in fantasy this season. London’s 3.9 yards per route run was the highest in the league when Penix started those last three weeks of the season. So, keep an eye on the Falcons’ skill position players in your drafts before the season.

Conclusion

Having some of the best fantasy schedules is quite important at the wide receiver position, as you do not want to get stuck with an impossible matchup in a must-win game. We have talked about Kansas City having a fantasy playoff matchup with Denver. Expectations will also be lower for Khalil Shakir. The slot receiver will likely draw Cooper DeJean in the fantasy championship. These aren’t impossible scenarios, but it is something to think about in drafts. Glancing at the matchups and seeing who has the best fantasy schedules could make a difference in draft strategy or in-season moves as people become more familiar with the scheduling layout. Schedules are one part of a bigger process, but it’s still good to know to get a step up on league mates, as everyone continues to get sharper as the years go on.
