Best Wide Receiver Schedules for 2026 Fantasy Football

The strength of schedule for the wide receiver position involves more factors than any other position mentioned so far. Even if a player faces a weak defense with weak cornerback room, they still need their quarterback to get them the ball. Not to mention, they also compete with usually two other players at the same position for targets, plus a tight end. So, while their schedule may be nice, they must consider other factors. One of which tanked our first player in 2025 for fantasy managers.

What!? Your fantasy football league wasn’t hosted on Fantrax last season!? Once you see how Fantrax stacks up to the competition, we think you’ll be singing a different tune this season.

Wide Receivers with the Best Fantasy Schedules

Justin Jefferson, Minnesota Vikings

It is about time that Justin Jefferson got something to break his way. The All-Pro receiver disappointed fantasy managers in 2025. However, it wasn’t really his fault. The team watched their former quarterback, who led them to 14 wins, win a Super Bowl with the Seattle Seahawks, while they had a revolving door at quarterback. J.J. McCarthy did not develop as expected. And Carson Wentz and Max Brosmer took snaps at the position. No offense, but that is not the ideal fantasy scenario for any wide receiver. Add to that the fact that they ran the third-fewest and had the fourth-fewest passing attempts per game. No wide receiver could succeed in a situation like that. During the 2023 season, with a revolving door at quarterback due to injury, Jefferson finished as the WR5 in points per game.

Now Kevin O’Connell and company have Kyler Murray as their starter, and they will look to tap into that 2024 version of him. That season, he ranked seventh in on-target throw percentage. No matter which version of Murray the team gets, it’s still a better situation for Jefferson.

The standout of his schedule is his fantasy playoffs, which is one of the best for wide receivers, where he gets to play the Detroit Lions, Washington Commanders, and New York Jets. Those three matchups are against teams that still need a cornerback heading into 2026. And should prove to be smash-start spots for the veteran wide receiver. That also goes without saying: his two matchups against the Chicago Bears, who should be in a shootout in every game they play this season. So Jefferson has plenty of opportunities to re-cement himself as the league’s best wide receiver. Jefferson is WR5 in my personal rankings and is a great back end of the first-round pick in redraft leagues this season.

Parker Washington, Jacksonville Jaguars

This goes for all four Jaguars receivers as they all share one of the best fantasy schedules for the wide receiver position. However, after this offseason, it wouldn’t feel right not to highlight Parker Washington. That man has gotten the most hype I think I have ever seen in a single offseason. And it is absolutely warranted. Washington ripped off three top-nine fantasy finishes to end the season. He has dominated every practice session and looks to carry that, along with his strong 2025 finish, into 2026. And he is in the environment to do just that. He has a top-eight quarterback in Trevor Lawrence and a team that will lean more on the pass after losing its starting running back. Most importantly, he has Liam Coen as his head coach.

A coach who has always leaned on his slot receiver. Coen was an offensive coordinator for two years before coming to Jacksonville as the head coach. His first was in 2022 with the Los Angeles Rams, where Cooper Kupp averaged the most fantasy points per game. In 2024, Chris Godwin was second in points per game. Both of those seasons were shortened by injury, but the point still stands. Coen relies heavily on his slot receiver. That showed up again last season in how Washington ended the year. After their Week 8 bye, Washington was 15th in points per game. And his schedule only helps his chances of repeating that this season.

They face the Chicago Bears, Pittsburgh Steelers, Dallas Cowboys, and Washington Commanders to end the season. Those matchups only increase his odds of repeating his hot finish from last season, with it being one of the best stretches any wide receiver has on their schedule this year. All of those teams were in the bottom eight last season, and only the Cowboys made improvements on the back end of their defense. Add in early-season matchups against the New England Patriots and Cincinnati Bengals, both of whom have question marks in their secondaries after their top cornerbacks. Both Christian Gonzalez and D.J. Turner will likely be matched up against Brian Thomas Jr. on the outside. So, it looks like wheels up for Parker Washington in a great offense with a great role. I would draft him as early as the fifth round in drafts this offseason.

KC Concepcion & Denzel Boston, Cleveland Browns

Yes, the situation in Cleveland is quite messy. It goes without saying that finishing last in your division has its perks. It is also a perk to play in a division with weak passing defenses. The Browns benefit from both, which leads to one of the best schedules fantasy-wise for the wide receivers, but the downside is that their offense has nowhere near the potential of the other two mentioned. What they do have is arguably a top-three fantasy playoff schedule. They have the New York Giants, Baltimore Ravens, and Indianapolis Colts on the schedule for those three weeks. If something starts to click, either receiver could provide value in the flex spots for the championship run. Add in two matchups against the Steelers and games against the Buccaneers and Atlanta Falcons. That explains why they have a top five fantasy schedule for 2026.

If I had to bet on a receiver from this team, it would be Concepcion for the draft capital and projected role. He could be used in a variety of ways, and the hype is going his way before the season starts. This offense still does not project well, but these guys are waiver adds or potential stashes in drafts. So, managers aren’t making a major investment in either player. I would choose one as a bench stash. Someone other than Harold Fanin Jr. has to get volume in this offense.

Final Thoughts

Strength of schedule for wide receivers brings the most volatility heading into 2026. Nobody knows how the season will play out; a key secondary player could go down for a team, and a matchup considered weak can suddenly become strong. So, this is one position where I would consider early season more than later on unless the teams have a true gap at cornerback to start the season, like some teams I mentioned. This is the position where I would factor in strength of schedule the least, but I would still use it to break ties in my rankings.
