College Fantasy Football Power 4 Player Rankings

Hey there, College Fantasy Football Fans! I’m Matt Waldrop but I’m known as Dynasty Matty Ice in the scene. I’m your friendly guide to the wild ride that is CFF Best Ball. I’ve been in this game for years, from geeking out over recruits to keeping tabs on transfer portal craziness. I’m stoked to roll out my 2025 Best Ball Rankings, and I’ve got two sleeper picks I’m hyped about: Houston QB Conor Weigmann and Michigan State’s WR Nick Marsh. These dudes are my under-the-radar rockets ready to blast off! Whether you’re a CFF Best Ball pro or just jumping in, these rankings are here to help you build a roster that’ll stack points without breaking a sweat.

There’s no such thing as too much football! 2022 is the perfect time to add the college game to your fantasy football repertoire. Whether you want to create your own league or join an existing league, the Fantrax College Football Commissioner is the place to go!

Among P4 teams, who will take the biggest leap forward as a college fantasy football producer in 2025?

  • Austin Simmons, Mississippi: 26%
  • Julian Sayin, Ohio State: 34%
  • Jayden Maiava, USC: 14%
  • DJ Lagway, Florida: 26%

“All jags for me in this poll, but Jayden Maiava earned my vote. He posted 300 yards and three touchdowns a game passing while rushing for three scores in four games. What is not to absolutely LOVE?” @aceholesrule

“Austin Simmons has the system and tools around him to perform at a high level. And a wildcard coach who’s willing to throw the playbook at folks. CFF players have serious production potential.” @eliotmays

So, how do I put these rankings together? It’s part stats, part feel, and a whole lot of fun. I dive into the numbers, yards, touchdowns, you know the drill, but I don’t stop there. I’m also looking at the big picture: transfers landing in sweet spots, quarterbacks who sling it to their playmakers, new coaches shaking up the offense. I mix in some film-watching, pick up vibes from the other content creators on X, and throw in a hunch or two about who’s ready to blow up. CFF Best Ball is all about grabbing those guys who’ll pile up points week in, week out. So, let’s get into it and find the stars who’ll light up your 2025.

It is obvious that the College Fantasy Football space is growing over the past two seasons. People often send me messages on social media in regard to playing CFF and ask how to get started. Whenever responding, I mention that newbies could form, and play, in a P4 (ACC, Big Ten, Big 12 and SEC) only CFF league. I also recommend playing in a P4 CFF Best Ball league (69 teams including Notre Dame) to get familiar with the players. It is a much more manageable player pool for fantasy football fanatics looking to expand their horizons.

Among recent hires of P4 head coaches, which program will be the most fantasy relevant under its new coaching staff in 2025?

  • Barry Odom, Purdue: 0%
  • Rich Rodriguez, West Virginia: 86%
  • Bill Belichick, North Carolina: 14%
  • Jack Dickert, Wake Forest: 0%

“Likely, coach Rodriguez out of the bunch. I just don’t see the other three making any drastic steps forward this year. UNC will likely get back on track in the near future—I just feel like this year is too early.” @eliotmays

“Rich Rod for me! Long legacy of having fantasy bell cows at QB and RB.” @aceholesrule

Of course, I prefer all 136 teams in College Fantasy Football leagues, but not everyone is as hardcore as I am. My CFF rankings for all the players across the nation are now available on Fantrax. Yet, over the offseason, it has become apparent that there is demand for P4 CFF Player Rankings on Fantrax, and I asked Dynasty Matty Ice to provide readers with P4 rankings.

There is no question in my mind that playing in a P4 league is the perfect way to kick off a new player’s interest in College Fantasy Football. Fantrax is the only site that provides CFF season-long and Best Ball leagues with complete commissioner tools to play in 2025. If you join a league, you will be hooked like me since 2008—I have commissioned and played in 79 CFF season-long leagues and countless CFF Best Ball ones.

Among the quartet below, identify the most fantasy relevant sophomore on P4 teams in 2025?

  • WR Ryan Ringo, Texas: 14%
  • RB Caden Durham, LSU: 17%
  • WR Emmett Mosley, n/a: 12%
  • RB Isaac Brown, Louisville: 57%

“Caden Durham! He was electric as a true freshman and there is way more to come. Mosley’s landing spot will be intriguing.” @_NinoBrown_

“Emmett Mosley for me. I’m excited to see where he lands, and I hope it’s with my BUFFS!” @aceholesrule
