Gameweek 17 Waiver Wire Targets
Here we outline Fantasy EPL Gameweek 17 Waiver Wire Targets that are 40% rostered or below on Fantrax.
Levi Colwill
Position: Defender
Team: Brighton
Rostered: 3%
Next Fixture: Southampton (Away)
Prospects: Colwill really hit the ground running in his first start before the World Cup break playing 90 minutes, getting 7.5 with one goal conceded. Time with de Zerbi will have done wonders for the former Cobham lad and we expect him to challenge experienced BHA CBs for the starting spot ROS. He is projected to score well against Southampton and Webster’s knock virtually guarantees him a starting spot.
Verdict: I would use a low-end waiver claim or 0-3 FAB to get him.
Fabio Carvalho
Position: Midfielder
Team: Liverpool
Rostered: 21%
Next Fixture: Aston Villa (Away)
Prospects: The Liverpool new boy could be one of the major beneficiaries of Diaz and Jota being out long-term as Klopp looks to push on for a top 4 finish. He started on the left wing a few times for Liverpool already but Elliot’s knock in a friendly might see him line up in midfield. If you have the space, I would hold him even if he does not start, as he will surely feature a fair bit at least until the injury crisis subsides.
Verdict: I would use a low-end waiver claim or 0-3 FAB to get him.
Eddie Nketiah
Position: Forward
Team: Arsenal
Ownership: 18%
Next Fixture: West Ham (Home)
Prospects: The most obvious waiver wire pickup of the century. Jesus only started in one game during the World Cup, but that was enough to rule him out for 3 months. The league leaders will be looking to Eddie for inspiration and goals if they want to maintain the title challenge, and I have a hunch he will step up big time. He is ranked 55th in our overall ranks for rest of the season.
Verdict: I would use a high-end waiver claim or 50%+ of your remaining FAB to get him.
