The EPL Waiver Wire returns with a full week in between games again, although Champions League games will keep some teams busy mid-week again.
Everton and Liverpool was postponed due to weather. That game is yet to be re-scheduled.
Week 16 EPL Waiver wire suggestions (under 50% rostered) are listed in order from most to least rostered.
Week 16 Fantasy EPL Draft Waiver Wire
Fraser Forster – Forward – 43% Rostered – Tottenham vs Southampton
Forster has stepped in for the injured Guglielmo Vicario, who may be out through February. Spurs are middle of the pack defensively (and in the table), but Forster has picked up points still. Over his three starts, he had four, seven, and five saves. So even with goals against and no clean sheets, Forster looks like a promising keeper on the EPL waiver wire. This week they also play Southampton, who sit solidly in last place with just 11 goals.
Christian Norgaard – Midfielder – 38% Rostered – Chelsea vs Brentford
Norgaard was dropped off many rosters after a red card on November 23rd. He’s now available and should be grabbed on the EPL waiver wire. He’s a quality player, often on set pieces, and capable of big games. He has a goal and two assists on the season. Brentford are much better at home, and they travel to Chelsea, who have won four in row. But even if you sit him this week, he’s worth a bench spot.
Tariq Lamptey – Defender – 17% Rostered – Brighton vs Crystal Palace
It looks like the speedy right-back has made a claim to the starting role for the Seagulls. He was rested midweek but started the weekend games over the last two weeks. In those starts, he had a goal in one game and an assist in the other. He offers them something a little different and adds more attacking presence to Brighton’s right side. He’s going to add defensive stats too. Crystal Palace have just 14 goals (tied for second to last in the EPL), but they did put two by Manchester City last week. There’s a big upside to picking Lamptey on the EPL waiver wire.
Dean Huijsen – Defender – 2% Rostered – Bournemouth vs West Ham
The Bournemouth defender has started in four games this season, including the previous two. When he starts he’s put up good points, including one huge game with a goal and a clean sheet. But it’s his steady point return that makes him worth a roster spot. He has 17 clearances in his last two games. Those defensive stats can add up quickly. Bournemouth have won three in a row and are six places above inconsistent West Ham.
The EPL waiver wire is going to be crucial as games start to come quickly nearing the end of 2024.
Have fun. Good luck!
