Rico Lewis
Position: Defender
Team: Man City
Rostered: 10%
Next Fixture: Man Utd (Away), Spurs (Home)
Prospects: The young Englishman has been a surprise starter for City and looks to have a strong claim to the role with Joao Cancelo horribly out of form and seemingly on Pep’s naughty bench. Now it would be foolish of me to suggest that he starts 2, and even more foolish to suggest you start him in the first even if he is not in the XI, but definitely worth a punt if he is starting in the Manchester Derby. Do not expect anything other than normal City defender-type points, but the possibility of 2 games and a second one against Spurs is too enticing of a proposition to overlook him.
Verdict: I would use a low-end waiver claim or 0-3 FAB to get him.
Cheick Doucoure
Position: Midfielder
Team: Crystal Palace
Rostered: 18%
Next Fixture: Chelsea (Away), Man Utd (Home)
Prospects: Doucoure is an absolute beast! Both in real life and in Fantrax. He is one of those DMs who can 9.5, 8.5, and 13 in the last 3 games speaks of amazing Fantasy form. Even if he reverts to his floor of around 4-6, you are still looking at a comfortable 10+ from a waiver wire pickup. And one most of your league mates who play OFPL will overlook.
Verdict: I would use a low-end waiver claim or 0-3 FAB to get him.
Bryan Gil
Position: Forward
Team: Tottenham
Ownership: 4%
Next Fixture: Arsenal (Home), Man City (Away)
Prospects: We are back to struggling for under 40% forwards. Spurs are playing the top 2 teams in the league back to back, one of which is their biggest derby. What could go wrong? The Gil pickup is almost exclusively dependent on the news about Kulusevski. If the Swede has a chance to play either, I would shy away from Gil, otherwise, he is likely to start both and could get an unlikely attacking return.
Verdict: I would use a low-end waiver claim or 0-3 FAB to get him.
