Gameweek 23 Waiver Wire Targets
Here we outline Fantasy EPL Gameweek 23 Waiver Wire Targets that are 40% rostered or below on Fantrax.
Rayan Ait-Nouri
Position: Defender
Team: Wolves
Rostered: 36%
Next Fixture: Southampton (Away)
Prospects: Ait-Nouri, lovingly referred to by the fantasy community as RAN got a surprise start against Liverpool and delivered a solid double-digit performance with a surprising clean sheet. Bueno is lurking, but the upside of RAN against Southampton, who are in a sorry state is not to be ignored! He is an easy drop if in fact he is not starting, but a high upside defender if he is as he usually takes set pieces as well as joining the attack regularly.
Verdict: I would use a low-end waiver claim or 0-3 FAB to get him.
Dwight McNeil
Position: Midfielder
Team: Everton
Rostered: 35%
Next Fixture: Liverpool (Away))
Prospects: Once a top 5 midfielder who had a historical goal-drought, now a man reborn under his former boss. It is fair to say McNeil’s move from relegated Burnley to Everton has not been a success story so far. So much so that he has nto featured much in the starting XI lately under now departed boss Frank Lamapard. After Super Frank got the sack, Everton hired 442-magician Sean Dyche to right the Toffee ship and in his first game in charge he faced runaway league leaders Arsenal, only to come away with a win courtesy of a McNeil-led (with an assist on the winning goal) performance. If McNeil is on the wire, it is time to pick him up, the buzz will be growing, time to get on the bandwagon!
Verdict: I would use a high-end waiver claim or 10-15 FAB to get him.
Teté
Position: Forward
Team: Leicester
Ownership: 27%
Next Fixture: Spurs (Home)
Prospects: Leicester’s first-ever Brazilian hit the ground running with a goal and a great performance from the right wing. With Ayoze and Albrighton gone (not like they were gonna challenge), he is all alone on the right-wing roster chart, so minutes will be aplenty. He had a prolific time at Lyon with more than 13 Points per 90 in the first half of the season and he is looking to replicate that in the EPL. Being nailed on in a Maddison fuelled Leicester attack, he will only go from strength to strength. Pick him up now and reap the rewards.
Verdict: I would use a high-end waiver claim or 10-15 FAB to get him.
