🔥🔥🔥 Gameweek 3 Player Rankings: Hot List 🔥🔥🔥
These are Fantasy EPL Draft players that have risen in our rankings! These are potential free agents on good form or established players that you should be looking to trade-in. Keep an eye on these players, and bring them into your Fantrax squad if you can!
Timothy Castagne
Position: Defender
Team: Leicester
Ownership: 94%
Form Last 30 Days: 21.88 PPG
Next 5 Fixtures: mci (A), WHU (H), AVL (H), ars (A), LEE (A)
What’s Changed?: Bought in the summer to replace Ben Chilwell, Castagne has really hit the ground running! The points tally of 44.75 is impressive, but it is not just Castagne’s Draft Premier League scores that are critical; it’s the lads performance level that is seriously impressive. A natural right back, there were a few concerns that Fantrax beast Pereira would oust Castagne from the team when Pereira is back from injury. I am here to tell you chaps, that isn’t going to happen. Castagne is equally capable on the left, and is a serious player. So even when Pereira is fit, they’ll both play!
Wilfried Zaha
Position: Midfielder
Team: Crystal Palace
Ownership: 100%
Form Last 30 Days: 21 PPG
Next 5 Fixtures: EVE (H), che (A), BHA (H), ful (A), wol (A)
What’s Changed?: Given the reported price Crystal Palace are asking for Zaha, coupled with the current pandemic climate; I don’t envisage Zaha leaving the London outfit. So reader, if like me you stayed clear of Zaha because you expected him to leave before the window slammed shut, then you are now really cursing your decision making. Zaha is an obvious trade target, but how do you get it over the line? Maybe you could play on the fact that he only scored 8.5 PPG in the 2019-20 season, so has potential to capitulate. Or (and my preferred bargaining option) you could claim that Zaha will leave, and the opposing manager should jump off the risk train. What would I be willing to offer I hear you ask reader, well; at the time of writing – I’m lining up an offer of: Havertz for Zaha. That’s where I’m at.
Aleksandar Mitrovic
Position: Forward
Team: Fulham
Ownership: 95%
Form Last 30 Days: 15 PPG
Next 5 Fixtures: AVL (H), wol (A), shu (A), CRY (H), WBA (H)
What’s Changed?: I don’t think this will be a popular pick, mainly because Mitrovic is playing in a poor Fulham side. So why not Mane or Richarlison? Well Mitrovic has an excellent fixture list. All of the next five fixtures have great potential for serious point, and it is for this reason I would be very happy owning and holding Mitrovic. However if a good offer comes in, then feel free to roll the dice and take an upgrade. If you do get any trade offers you’re unsure about – get at us @draftgenie @jwilldraft and @theffchaps.
Gameweek 3 Player Rankings: More Hot Players!
Fantasy EPL Defenders
- Lucas Digne (100%, Everton) – Such an elite Fantrax player.
- Willy Boly (99%, Wolves) – Solid start to the season for the ultimate Fantrax boss!!
- Romain Saiss (96%, Wolves) – A big opening GW points haul and a goal for good measure. We expect big points from Saiss this season.
- Gabriel Magalhães (92%, Arsenal) – The new recruit looks solid and is a serious aerial presence.
- Tariq Lamptey (80%, Brighton) – The young right back is nailed down his spot and is going to be one of those classic high scoring wing-backs in Fantrax; sign him up.
Fantasy EPL Midfielders
- Harvey Barnes (99%, Leicester) – Seems to be improving in every match he plays.
- James Rodriguez (91%, Everton) – Dreamy start for the former Galacticos!
- Kalvin Phillips (91%, Leeds) – A must own. Takes corners and free kicks.
- Daniel Podence (69%, Wolves) – With Jota leaving to join Liverpool its all aboard the Podence train!
- Andros Townsend (48%, Crystal Palace) – A firm favourite amongst the FPL Kickaround podcast took his opportunity in GW1.
Fantasy EPL Forwards
- Mohamed Salah (100%, Liverpool) – Obviously.
- Son (100%, Spurs) – 4 goals. Yeah, 4 goals in one game. Sensational
- Dominic Calvert-Lewin (100%, Everton) – “With the likes of Richarlison, James, and Doucoure feeding the young Englishman, he’s in for a bumper season” is what I wrote last week, this weekend DCL pops up with a hatty. Huge season ahead!
- Patrick Bamford (78%, Leeds) – Another Leeds player in the hot list!! Bielsa has a side full of attacking threats!
- Neal Maupay (68%, Brighton) – After a quiet start, Maupay turned up in GW2.
❄️❄️❄️ Gameweek 3 Player Rankings: Cold List ❄️❄️❄️
These are Fantasy EPL players that have fallen in our rankings. This may be due to poor form, they have been dropped from the best 11, they have suffered an injury, or received a suspension. It’s time to consider dropping these players from your squads!
Matt Doherty
Position: Defender
Team: Spurs
Ownership: 100%
Form Last 30 Days: 3.75 PPG
Next 5 Fixtures: NEW (H), mun (A), WHU (H), bur (A), BHA (H)
What’s Changed?: I’m sorry chaps, I’m keeping Doherty in as no.1 cold player in our rankings. Since Jose has taken over Spurs defence has improved in the most minuscule way. I’m worried chaps, a genuine tier 2 defender is rapidly turning into a free agent defender.
Recommendation: Spurs defenders – I’m out. Trade away and pray you can get a tier 3 defender. If you get offered a tier 2 defender snap the opposite managers hand off and fully expect that manager to finish bottom of the league. I’d offer up Doherty for Lamptey.
Dele Alli
Position: Midfielder
Team: Spurs
Ownership: 99%
Form Last 30 Days: 4 PPG
Next 5 Fixtures: NEW (H), mun (A), WHU (H), bur (A), BHA (H)
What’s Changed?: Have you been watching the ‘All or Nothing’ documentary on Spurs? Well if you’ve been tuning in, you’d have noticed Jose starts off joking with Dele about how much of a lazy trainer he is. So are we surprised Jose has lost patience? No. It looks like Dele is on his way out.
Recommendation: I’d highly recommend dropping Dele first thing on the waivers. Targets should be new signings Under or Thiago.
Steven Bergwijn
Position: Forward
Team: Spurs
Ownership: 76%
Form Last 30 Days: 0.75 PPG
Next 5 Fixtures: NEW (H), mun (A), WHU (H), bur (A), BHA (H)
What’s Changed?: I’m not an Arsenal fan, and no reader I do not have a vendetta against Spurs (although it really does appear that I do in this article). So why the triple Spurs? Well despite pre-season hype about how this season would be ‘Bergwijn’s season’ – he has now gone the opening two games without starting; Moura has played well, obviously Bergwijn isn’t going to oust out Kane or Son, and then there is the small factor of Gareth Bale.
Recommendation: I’d be looking to drop Bergwijn and bring in a free agent. If you don’t use FAAB and have a poor position in the waiver wire, there’s no need to panic. There are plenty of good options out there, particularly the likes of Townsend. Check out Genie’s Waiver Wire and Trade Targets article for ideas!
Gameweek 3 Player Rankings: More Cold Players!
Fantasy EPL Defenders
- Joe Gomez (95%, Liverpool) – Injured and out of GW2. But the big issue is that replacement Fabinho stepped into Gomez’s shoes and kept the Chelsea all-stars strike force out with ease.
- Marcos Alonso (85%, Chelsea) – Just not scoring any points, and to be perfectly honest after Sundays performance I think Azpilicueta will replace Alonso.
- Dan Burn (36%, Brighton) – Once again Burn sits out on the bench. A half an hour cameo showed how good he is at Fantrax scoring (5 points in just 30 minutes), but you cannot score points on the bench chaps!
Fantasy EPL Midfielders
- Nathan Redmond (98%, Southampton) – A poor start for a normally solid performer and now injured. Although there is little conclusive evidence to suggest Redmond is out for a while, but it looked like ankle ligaments. Keep up-to-date with injury Ben!
- Kai Havertz (95%, Chelsea) – It’s a long season, so stick with him. The lad is class. But blimey, its been an awful start!
- Ayoze Perez (89%, Leicester City) – Two games on the bounce with zero impact and low scores. With new signing Under (that is his name) joining, I think Perez makes way.
Fantasy EPL Forwards
- Nicolas Pepe (97%, Arsenal) – We’ve been here before reader, the whole of last season. Pepe isn’t going to be a regular starter! Drop.
- Diogo Jota (86%, Liverpool) – Remember Shaqiri? Didn’t think so. Jota is the new Shaqiri.
- Sebastien Haller (80%, West Ham) – Having scored two goals midweek in the (is it still called the Carling Cup?) League Cup, but isn’t going to shift Antonio from the starting lineup. Hold onto Haller though, as Antonio will be out injured in a few weeks.

Thoughts on Thiago and other new signings?
Thiago will be fine. Unlikely to set the world alight, despite being a great footballer.
Reguilon looks very interesting. Really strong prospects if he’s given attacking freedom. Under should be pretty good too!
