🔥🔥 Gameweek 33 Player Rankings: Hot List 🔥🔥

Danny Ings

Position: Forward

Team:  Southampton

Ownership:  99%

Points Average Since the Restart: 21.1

Next 5 Fixtures: MCI (H), eve (A), mu (A), BRI (H), bou (A)

What’s Changed?: Ingsy!! Where else shall we start than with fantasy darling, Danny Boy? He has been white hot since the return. I understand that he’s 99% owned, so you’re not finding him on your waiver wire. However, he’s a marquee trade target. Without even thinking twice, I would offer the likes of Maddison, Vardy, Firmino, Haller, Martial, Jota, Buendia, etc. to get in Ings. He can’t help but score goals. He’s scoring like a first-round pick. If you can sweet talk his owner, do it.

Jarrod Bowen

Position:  Forward

Team:  West Ham United

Ownership:  47%

Points Average Since the Restart: 14.3

Next 5 Fixtures: new (A), BUR (H), nor (A), WAT (H), mu (A)

What’s Changed?: On the podcast, on Fantrax HQ, and on Twitter, we have been screaming the name Jarrod Bowen for months now. It’s fair to say that we warned you. Short of renting a plane and writing his name in the sky in a smoke trail, I’m not sure what more we could have done. Luckily for you, he’s still only 47% owned (before waivers run on Friday), which is criminal. Add him now. And if you need to trade for him, make it happen. West Ham have a fixture list to drool over and Bowen has solidified himself as a key cog in this team.

Miguel Almirón

Position:  Midfielder

Team:  Newcastle

Ownership: 74%

Points Average Since the Restart: 13.17

Next 5 Fixtures: WHU (H), mci (A), wat (A), TOT (H), bri (A)

What’s Changed?:  If I told you that in 26% of leagues, you could go out and pick up a midfielder who has over 13 points per game since the restart and plays West Ham, Watford, and Brighton in the next 5 matches, you’d struggle to believe it. But such is the situation with our friend Almiron, (affectionately called Miggy). In leagues where he’s owned, he’s still a Newcastle player, and that carries a stigma. You might be able to get him cheap. Plus, you can use that City match to your advantage. Just say, “You know, Keith, he’s got City at the Etihad in two weeks. I’m actually doing you a favor by taking Miggy off your hands.” Simple. Also, weird that I knew there was a guy named Keith in your league, right?

Gameweek 33 Player Rankings: More Hot Players!

Fantasy EPL Defenders

  • Trent Alexander-Arnold (100%, Liverpool)
  • Lucas Digne (100%, Everton) – An absolute fantasy monster.
  • Matt Doherty (99%, Wolves) – Amazingly dependable defensive fantasy asset.
  • Cesar Azpilicueta (99%, Chelsea) – Rough match. We’re monitoring his next performance closely.
  • Marcos Alonso (96%, Chelsea) – CHE were miserable
  • Willy Boly (94%, Wolves) – A ghost point monster. Even when they concede, he scores well.
  • Michael Keane (68%, Everton) – Featured in last week’s article.
  • Kortney Hause (15%, Aston Villa) – The appeal for this guy is the fact that he seems to be on the end of EVERY set piece.
  • Javier Manquillo (4%, Newcastle) – Has been scoring well despite conceding goals.

Fantasy EPL Midfielders

  • Kevin De Bruyne (100%, Manchester City) – Heard of him? He’s a professional footballer.
  • James Ward-Prowse (98%, Southampton) – Amazingly consistent player.
  • Nathan Redmond (89%, Southampton) – Stop reading this and add this man if he’s available in your league.
  • Bruno Fernandes (88%, Manchester United) – WHY IS HE NOT 100% OWNED?!
  • Michail Antonio (81%, West Ham) – Amazing schedule upcoming and he’s nailed on.
  • Miguel Almiron (67%, Newcastle) – It really seems like Almiron’s time has finally come. And their fixtures are a dream.
  • James McArthur (67%, Crystal Palace) – Has been reliable for fantasy owners since the beginning of February!
  • Phil Foden (61%, Manchester City) – Will sub a lot. But when he starts, play him.
  • Matt Ritchie (71%, Newcastle) – Should be back from injury. Start him.
  • Dani Ceballos (64%, Arsenal) He’s been remarkably consistent the last 3 games.
  • Connor Hourihane (14%, Aston Villa) – I’m not trusting it. But he’s been hot.
  • Tomas Soucek (8%, West Ham) – Great week last week. But he’s been inconsistent. Monitor him.

Fantasy EPL Forwards

  • Sadio Mane (100%, Liverpool) – Power.
  • Raul Jiminez (100%, Wolves) – He can’t help but score. The other day in the market, he slipped on a banana peel… and scored a goal.
  • Danny Ings (98%, Southampton) – See above for all the reasons to love him.
  • Willian (98%, Chelsea) – He’s taking penalties. He’s scoring for fun.
  • Allan Saint-Maximin (77%, Newcastle) – Gimme an “E”… E! Gimme an “L”… L! Yeah, we’re not going to spell out “electric” in its entirety. But he’s it.
  • Olivier Giroud (49%, Chelsea) – To be clear, this Chelsea rotation is going to be an absolute nightmare. But you should start Giroud when he starts the match.
  • Jarrod Bowen (47%, West Ham) – Looks to be the only bright spot on this team at the moment.
  • Oliver McBurnie (26%, Sheffield United) – His ownership has fallen since I added him to this list. And then he scored a goal. I tried to warn you.
  • Dwight Gayle (4%, Newcastle) – 2 goals in 2 games. Will he continue his form? I don’t think so.

❄️❄️ Gameweek 33 Player Rankings: Cold List ❄️❄️

These are Fantasy EPL players who have fallen in our rankings.  This may be due to poor form, they may have been dropped from the best 11, they may have suffered an injury, or received a suspension.  It’s time to consider dropping these players from your squads!

Leicester City

Position:  The Whole Team (except Chilwell)

Team:  Leicester City

Ownership: Too High

Points Average Since the Restart: POOR

Next 5 Fixtures: CRY (H), ars (A), bou (A), SHEF (H), tot (A)

What’s Changed?:  “Joe, you’ve put the entire Leicester City team on your cold list?” Absolutely. And they deserve it. Since restart, Chilwell is their only player averaging 10+ points per match. And of their attacking players, only Maddison and Vardy are averaging above 7! Barnes, Perez, Tielemans, Ndidi, and Justin have all been severely disappointing. This team looks lost on the pitch, arms up in exasperation or heads down in dejection. Brendan Rodgers has his work cut out for him in inspiring this team. Many are even beginning to doubt whether they’ll qualify for a Champion’s League spot. Luckily, with a decent fixture list to come, some of the Leicester City players may redeem themselves. But for the rest, you need to cut them loose as soon as possible.

Recommendation: Hold Chilwell, Maddison, Soyuncu, and Evans. See if you can trade Vardy out for a striker who scores actual goals. Try to package Justin in a trade. The same goes for Ndidi and Barnes. And as for Perez, Tielemans, Gray, Albrighton, Iheanacho, and the rest… BUH-BYE. They’re droppable.

Watford

Position:  The Whole Team

Team:  Watford

Ownership: Too High

Points Average Since the Restart: POOR

Next 5 Fixtures: che (A), NOR (H), NEW (H), whu (A), MCI (H)

What’s Changed?: “Another entire team, Joe? This is getting out of hand.” I know! I shouldn’t have to do this. It’s almost as if someone forgot to tell Watford that the season resumed. I’ll give you a moment to ponder which Watford player has the highest PPG since the restart. If you said any attacking player, you’re wrong. Deeney, Sarr, Capoue, Hughes, Doucoure, and Cleverley are all averaging sub-7 points per game. And some of those players (Sarr and Doucoure chief among them) are averaging fewer than 4 PPG. Nope, the player with the highest average PPG since the restart is Craig Dawson, who is 3% owned. That doesn’t mean you should immediately snag Dawson. What it means is that this team has been utter garbage, lacking any semblance of creativity or motivation.

Recommendation: Wow… what, indeed, do we do with these players? The fixtures for their attackers are decent until they face City in 5 weeks. So, Deeney and Sarr are definitely worth holding. Though, if you can get decent value for them in the trade market, that that deal immediately. Doucoure, Capoue, Hughes, and Cleverley appear to be lost causes at this point. Don’t be afraid to drop them for the upside of another attacking player like Greenwood, Foden, Ceballos, Armstrong, or even Iwobi.

Diogo Jota

Position:  Midfielder

Team:  Wolves

Ownership: 97%

Points Average Since the Restart: 5.17

Next 5 Fixtures: ARS (H), shu (A), EVE (H), bur (A), CRY (H)

What’s Changed?: To be honest, nothing has changed. Jota could easily score 30 points next week. Of course, the problem has always been his streaky nature. But very meager scores against Bournemouth and Aston Villa should concern Jota owners. Wolves have been using the right flank to attack with Adama Traore and Doherty much more effectively than the left. And Jota seems to be having trouble figuring out how to get involved in the action. Most sites that do “player ratings” after matches rated him lowest of any Wolves player in last Saturday’s contest.

Recommendation: This is another one of those Jota +1 situations. See if you can add a player to increase his value in a trade (preferably one you didn’t pay much for) and get back a player of greater value. For example, offer Jota plus Ceballos and see if you can get Michail Antonio or Bernardo Silva.

Gameweek 33 Player Rankings: More Cold Players!

Fantasy EPL Defenders

  • Joe Gomez (91%, Liverpool) – This makes two out of 3 matches that were underwhelming.
  • Enda Stevens (84%, Sheffield United) – BETTER this week. Hoping I can remove him from this list next week.
  • George Baldock (80%, Sheffield United) – 4 points in a 3-1 victory. Not great.
  • Toby Alderweireld (64%, Tottenham) – Why is he so highly owned?
  • Matt Targett (64%, West Ham) – Looks set to miss 2 to 3 weeks.
  • Reece James (63%, Chelsea) – Didn’t start the match. Again, Chelsea will be an absolute rotation nightmare. Trade Chelsea players where you’re able.
  • Antonio Rudiger (55%, Chelsea) – You can find a better option on the waiver wire.
  • Victor Lindelof (48%, Manchester United) – Needs a clean sheet to score well.
  • David Luiz (47%, Arsenal) – Still yuck.

Fantasy EPL Midfielders

  • Dele Alli (99%, Tottenham) – He should start next match. If he scores poorly, this will have been a terrible run for him.
  • João Moutinho (99%, Wolves) – Still struggling.
  • Diogo Jota (97%, Wolves) – See above.
  • Youri Tielemans (94%, Leicester City) – Picking up where he left off… being all but anonymous on the pitch.
  • Felipe Anderson (90%, West Ham) – Benched after his train wreck of a GW30 performance.
  • Abdoulaye Doucoure (90%, Watford) – Tough times for Doucoure owners.
  • Harvey Barnes (87%, Leicester City) – Also benched after his ZERO points in GW30
  • Jordan Henderson (87%, Liverpool) – Some thought he would be a MID 2 after the restart. Nope.
  • John McGinn (84%, Aston Villa) – Quite the disappointment. You have to wonder how healthy he truly is.
  • Daniel James (84%, Manchester United) – Might have permanently lost his spot to Greenwood..
  • Mesut Ozil (80%, Arsenal) – It’s hard to express what a bust he’s been since the restart.
  • Todd Cantwell (77%, Norwich) – Having trouble affecting matches at all.

Fantasy EPL Forwards

  • Roberto Firmino (100%, Liverpool) – The bad form continues.
  • Jamie Vardy (100%, Leicester City) – The problem with this speed demon is that he does very little if he doesn’t score.
  • Gabriel Jesus (100%, Manchester City) – We had hoped that he would step in for Aguero, but his scoring boots are clearly misplaced.
  • Tammy Abraham (97%, Chelsea) – He started the last match. Did you watch him? I hope not. He was terrible.
  • Ayoze Perez (89%, Leicester) – Drop him unless he gets a miracle start.
  • Teemu Pukki (89%, Norwich) – His struggles continue. Someone tell me why this man is 94% owned, please.
  • Josh King (80%, Bournemouth) – This entire team look like they have no interest in playing the game they’re paid to play.
