Gameweek 5 Waiver Wire Targets
Here we outline Fantasy EPL Gameweek 5 Waiver Wire Targets that are 40% rostered or below on Fantrax.
Armel Bella Kotchap
Position: Defender
Team: Southampton
Rostered: 4%
Next Fixture: Chelsea (Home)
Prospects: The man we call Ketchup (original, I know) has been quietly putting together very impressive real-life AND fantasy performances for Southampton, who after yo-yo-ing between being a write-in for relegation and the most exciting team in the league seems to have settled closer to the latter and the former Bochum man is firmly in the middle of that excitement. Powerful, energetic no-nonsense, and racking up points, get him in before United and play him for all the great fixtures after that.
Verdict: I would use a low-end waiver claim and 0-3 FAB to get him.
Joao Moutinho
Position: Midfielder
Team: Wolves
Rostered: 32%
Next Fixture: Bournemouth (Away)
Prospects: After some uncertainty around his contract and whether he had one more EPL season in him, Moutinho looks like he has still got it. Unlikely to ever play a full ninety any more, but he can do enough ghost point damage in the more limited opportunities he gets. Wolves are retooling their offense and Moutinho will have fun with the new targets up front, so could be a longer hold.
Verdict: I would use a low-end waiver claim and 0-3 FAB to get him.
Deniz Undav
Position: Forward
Team: Brighton
Ownership: 10%
Next Fixture: Fulham (Away)
Prospects: This is more of a punt if anything. Potter has been praising Undav recently saying he is close to an EPL start, he scored last week in the cup and Welbeck had a day to forget last weekend. All signs to suggest that Undav might be in line for his full debut. If so, he should be an instant start, if not, I would still hold for the hope of a start at the weekend.
Verdict: I would use a low-end waiver claim and 0-3 FAB to get him.
