The Premier League is back after almost a three-month hiatus! Players have had plenty of time to rest, and recover from injuries and fatigue, and will be ready to get back to action. I am sure during this time plenty of Draft Premier League managers took a hiatus as well!
This article will be a two-part series giving you insight on players who entered the hiatus with an injury, but now have good prospects for the rest of the season. Some of these fit again players may still be available on your waiver wires! If not I would recommend putting in a trade for them when your leagues become active again on Fantrax.

Premier League Fit Again Players
Paul Pogba
Position: Midfielder
Team: Manchester United
Average Points per Match: 10.36
Prospects: Pogba is back in full team training and even just participated in a behind closed doors match. He is fit again and ready to show his talent. Expect Pogba to be a high-end MID2/low end MID1. I don’t see him playing 90 minutes most games due to his long layoff and may not start every game. In the minutes he does play he will rack up a ton of ghost points, and some attacking returns. I fully expect United to have a strong end to the season as they push for a top 4 spot, and the pairing of Pogba and Bruno will be key to that. Even if Pogba only plays 55′ each match he can still score 10-15 points. I would look to trade away a MID2/3 who is a guaranteed starter for the upside that is Paul Pogba.
Nathan Redmond
Position: Midfielder
Team: Southampton
Average Points Per Match: 8.17
Prospects: Redmond was injured in training just prior to the EPL suspension, but looks to be back out on the pitch. Hassenhuttl has said Redmond may not start right away which is a bit concerning. With the short turn around between seasons, once Saints secure safety, Redmond could see a decrease in minutes to protect him. I would still consider a MID3/4 with MID2 upside when he does start. I would look to trade in Redmond if you have a consistent midfield, as he will provide some high upside. Look to offer out a DEF2/MID4 in exchange for the Saints midfielder. Players such as Doucoure, Gomez, and Tielemans should all be offered in exchange for Redmond.
John McGinn
Position: Midfielder
Team: Aston Villa
Average Points Per Match: 11.33
Prospects: McGinn will be fit again for the restart of the EPL season, but I assume will be carefully managed. After coming off a very serious injury McGinn will seriously lack match fitness, and may not reach his early-season heights. I still expect McGinn to put up MID2 or higher numbers as Villa fight for survival, but wouldn’t be surprised to see him start from the bench a few games. McGinn is the kind of fantasy midfielder you should aim to own, he racks up stats all over the pitch, and will even contribute with a few attacking returns. I would look to bring in McGinn if you believe in Villa’s survival chances, they have a very tough schedule and could lose the majority of their games.
Leroy Sane
Position: Forward
Team: Manchester City
Average Points Per Match: 0
Prospects: Sane would have had a few months to improve his fitness ahead of the EPL restart. With heavy rumors he will be leaving City in the summer, I do expect him to get some playtime as Pep tries to increase his value. For the first few games, Sane will most likely start from the bench, but once Liverpool locks up the title, he could see 2-3 starts as we close out the season. When Sane starts he his probably a FWD2 due to his lack of match sharpness, but has the upside of a FWD1. If Sane is on your waiver wire, I would put in a top claim for the Manchester City forward – he may be the best of the fit again players that’s available! If another manager owns Sane I would offer a FWD3 for the upside of Sane. Players such as Wilson, McBurnie, and Long.
