DraftKings Showdown MNF DFS Plays: Week 17

The final regular-season Monday night showdown slate on DraftKings takes place tonight. After this, we will have one playoff game two weeks from now, and that will be it. Headlining this matchup is the Los Angeles Rams and the Atlanta Falcons, who will headline the final Monday of the regular season. The Rams enter this game as 7.5-point favorites. And this game should have no shortage of points. The projected point total is 48.5; with that number, there should be no shortage of fantasy points for two of the game’s best. Puka Nacua and Bijan Robinson will get the chance to add to their spectacular seasons.

We couldn’t ask for a better cap off to DraftKings’ regular-season Monday night slates than this one, especially if Atlanta keeps it close. For our captain pick, we will be picking the Falcons’ running back, who is coming up on 100 total targets in the passing game.

Week 17 DraftKings Monday Night Football Showdown Plays

Captain Play: Bijan Robinson, Atlanta Falcons (17.7K)

The captain play this week came down to those previously mentioned fantasy football all-stars. And Robinson wins the tiebreaker solely due to the game script. The running back only trails Christian McCaffrey in terms of targets. And the Rams give up the sixth-most targets to the position, mainly due to their 11-4 record. I do not expect tonight to be any different against a struggling Falcons team. Especially given the fact that the Rams are playing to better a pick they own in the 2026 draft.

Even though the Rams are allowing the fewest points per game to the position, I still want to lean on Robinson tonight. In PPR formats, McCaffrey still finished in the top ten against them twice this season. Volume will be the key as the Rams allow the fewest rushing touchdowns in the league. However, Robinson’s ceiling is still one of the two highest on DraftKings, despite facing this tough defense.

Flex Play: Puka Nacua, Los Angeles Rams (12.2K)

We are cramming both superstars into our lineup. After what Nacua did last week, it would be impossible not to include him. Nacua played his first complete game without Davante Adams this season and saw 16 targets in what was the game of the year against the Seattle Seahawks. And we can expect that same kind of usage again tonight. Nacua only needs 118 yards to surpass Jaxon Smith-Njigba for the yardage title. Considering he had to miss a game due to injury. That tells you all you need to know about his slate-breaking upside. If you wanted to swap Robinson and Nacua, I would have no problems doing so. Both are close enough in DraftKings salary that you can pick either with little difference in your lineups tonight. If I had to guess, there is an 85 percent chance one of these two ends up being the optimal captain for tonight’s game. And Nacua will be going against a defense that gives up the 12th most fantasy points to opposing receivers, so expect another monster performance from him.

Flex Play: Blake Corum, Los Angeles Rams (4.6K)

Playing two players like Robinson and Nacua means you need to save salary in your DraftKings lineup somewhere. And that is where Blake Corum factors in. Coming in at a sub $5,000 DraftKings salary for someone who has earned an increasing amount of the backfield touches is the perfect place to start. And Corum has actually been the more effective running back of the two this season. He has a higher yards per carry, more missed tackles forced per attempt, and more runs of ten plus yards. Corum is also entering this game on a hot streak as he has scored in four straight contests. You will have to get creative to play Robinson and Nacua, and someone with Corum’s touchdown upside is a great place to start.

Flex Play: Konata Mumpfield, Los Angeles (2.2K)

The rookie out of Pittsburgh had his best showing of the season this past week. He saw eight targets in the absence of Davante Adams. And at his DraftKings salary, seeing eight targets is a ceiling outcome. Mumpfield ran the second-most routes of any receiver on the team against Seattle, despite the team leaning heavily on its tight ends. Against a team whose weakness is the receiver position, Mumpfield is a great sleeper pick for lineups tonight based on his projected role.

Kickers & Defenses

Tonight feels like a kicker over defense night, unless you want to play the Rams defense. At $5,200 on DraftKings, it is hard to justify the salary of a defense that will need a touchdown to get there. Granted, they only have one on the season and only two double-digit performances. I would likely avoid both defenses tonight, as the Rams DraftKings salary is too high, and I do not believe the Falcons will put up a great showing against the league’s best offense in points per game. Atlanta is the preferred option at $3,200 salary, but I am avoiding both tonight.

As for the kickers, both are on my radar. Harrison Mevis has three straight games of nine or more points. And a good portion of those are off extra points and not field goals, so he is definitely a viable option. Zane Gonzalez offers a safe floor, as he has not had a game with fewer than six points this season. Feel free to plug either kicker into your lineup, especially if you want to play a third high-salary player tonight.

Final Thoughts

Closing out the regular season, Monday night games, this should be a fantastic one for fantasy. And it should be no different for the DraftKings side of things, either. The biggest question is whether the Falcons can keep up with the Rams. They have looked better as of late, but there is a marginal chance the Rams just run away with this one. In that scenario, the running backs will likely be the must-play options. So keep all options on the table and enjoy the last DraftKings Monday night slate of the regular season, and best of luck!
