Fantasy EPL Draft – September EPL Fixtures

Here are the teams with the best set of EPL fixtures for September. These players have added value based on who they are playing.

Liverpool

Gameweek #  Date Home/Away + Opponent Opponent Place in the League
GW 4 09/14/2024 (H) Nottingham Forest 8th
GW 5 09/21/2024 (H) AFC Bournemouth 9th
GW 6 09/28/2024 (A) Wolverhampton Wanderers 18th

Liverpool has gotten off to a flying start with Arne Slot leading Liverpool to nine points out of nine. Mo Salah and Luis Diaz have been leading a strong attack. Liverpool are the only team who has not conceded any goals so far this season. They are home to Nottingham Forrest and Bournemouth who have both had solid starts to the season but Liverpool are in form and at home. Wolves are their final game of the month who have conceded nine goals this season. With these EPL fixtures, this will be a good month to set and forget your Liverpool players.

Aston Villa

Gameweek #  Date Home/Away + Opponent Opponent Place in the League
GW 4 09/14/2024 (H) Everton 20th
GW 5 09/21/2024 (H) Wolverhampton Wanderers 18th
GW 6 09/29/2024 (A) Ipswich Town 17th

Aston Villa has a great, and maybe the best, run of fixtures in September with matchups against teams all sitting at the bottom of the table. Plus, two of those matchups are at home. Ollie Watkins has had a slow start to the year due to a niggling injury but hopefully, a restful International Break and some savory fixtures will kick start his season. Morgan Rodgers hasn’t scored, but has looked promising. Everton, Wolves, and Ipswich who have conceded 26 goals between them. They are the three teams with the most goals conceded so far this season. Aston Villa have a big chance to score some goals and move up the table.

These teams have tough EPL fixtures coming up, so be cautious when looking at players here.

Wolves

Gameweek #  Date Home/Away + Opponent Opponent Place in the League
GW 4 09/15/2024 (H) Newcastle United 5th
GW 5 09/21/2024 (A) Aston Villa 7th
GW 6 09/28/2024 (H) Liverpool 2nd

Wolves have a very challenging month ahead with fixtures against three teams in the top seven on the table. They’ve already conceded nine goals this season. Their defense will be tested again by Newcastle’s potent attack led by Alexander Isak. They then travel Villa Park, where they’ll face a tough Aston Villa side. The month concludes with a home game against Liverpool, who haven’t conceded a single goal yet this season. Be sure you have replacement options for your Wolves players.

Brentford

Gameweek #  Date Home/Away + Opponent Opponent Place in the League
GW 4 09/14/2024 (A) Manchester City 1st
GW 5 09/21/2024 (A) Tottenham Hotspur 10th
GW 6 09/28/2024 (H) West Ham United 13th

Brentford face an tough schedule in September with two away games against top sides followed by a home fixture against West Ham. The Bees start with a daunting trip to the Etihad to face league leaders Manchester City. They then travel to North London to take on Tottenham. Their only home game of the month is against West Ham, who have had a slow start but have lots of new additions from this summer. Bryan Mbeumo has been Brentford’s standout player so far, but he’ll face a stern test against these high-quality opponents. Fantasy managers might want to look for alternatives.

Keep your eyes on the future, as these matchups can make a big difference in player value. Go with the stats and with your gut.

Good luck.
