Dallas Mavericks – @HOU NOP @MEM @WAS
The Mavericks are currently in the middle of a small injury crisis – Anthony Davis, Dereck Lively II, and Daniel Gafford are all recovering from something. Is it Dwight Powell time just yet? Possibly. The big man situation in Dallas is worth monitoring. On the wing, Max Christie has done the best job this season and should be rostered this week.
Washington Wizards – @NYK @BOS CLE DAL
Bilal Coulibaly made his season debut the other day and looked decently rosterable. Last year, he ranked around 150 per game in 8-cat leagues, which is probably outside of where you want your players from, but he is still young and developing, so the upside for this year probably makes him worthwhile to roster for now.
Sacramento Kings – @DEN GSW OKC MIN
Russell Westbrook should clearly be rostered this season.
Los Angeles Clippers – MIA OKC @PHX PHX
The Clippers have perhaps the most opportune schedule this week, particularly when accounting for their game against Phoenix on Thursday, which is the only game that day. So, do they have players to pick up off the waivers for the week? Outside of the big 3 (Harden, Leonard, Zubac), the Clippers roster is full of fantasy disappointments so far. Perhaps forward Derrick Jones (rostered in 23% of Fantrax leagues) could get loose against their fast-paced opponents. He is particularly valuable in case Leonard takes a game off.
New York Knicks – WAS MIN BKN
The Knicks play only three games this week – that is a fact we cannot dispute. However, the three opponents are some of the best teams to produce fantasy stats against so far this year. The new Knicks haven’t quite found their footing yet, so this is the time when longer-term roles can be dished out. Miles McBride is someone to keep an eye on. He hasn’t provided top-tier fantasy stats yet, but his minutes are at a starter level.
