Fantasy Football 2024: Week 16 Wide Receiver Rankings

As we roll into my Week 16 wide receiver rankings, it is time to lock down as playoffs start for some leagues and semi-finals are going on in others. A lot happened last week that could help with setting a lineup this week. Davante Adams had a huge game, but could that have been a fluke game? Puka Nacua looks like the wide receiver who will start over Cooper Kupp. And it looks like Marvin Harrison Jr. should be benched for your playoff run.

Wide Receiver Notes

  • Let’s start with Garrett Wilson as my WR21. Wilson has been rather disappointing this season and the rest of the Jets’ wide receivers. However, if you are going to start a Jets wide receiver it is going to be Adams. Wilson is still getting decent targets but it is Adams who is getting more targets and producing with those targets. Adams has four touchdowns in his last three games while Wilson has just one. This week the Jets are at home against the Rams. On paper, this looks like it should be a great game for the Jets wide receivers as the Rams are giving up 28 points per game to wide receivers. But, I would run with the hot hand of Adams over Wilson this week.
  • Next, I have Mike Evans as my WR7 on the road against the Cowboys. The Cowboys are giving up 28.6 fantasy points per game to wide receivers this year. In their last two games, the Cowboys gave up huge fantasy performances to Jalen Coker and Ja’Marr Chase. Coker scored 19 fantasy points and Chase scored 38.1. Now it looks like Evans is getting back into his grove. He has three touchdowns in his last three games. Including a two-touchdown 159-yard performance last week against a tough Chargers defense. The Buccaneers have a one-game lead over the Falcons in the division, so the Buccaneers have a lot to play for this week. Since Week 12, Evans has been targeted 34 times vs Sterling Shepard at 21 and Jalen McMillan at 18.
  • Lastly, I have Jayden Reed as my WR32 against the Saints. On paper, this is a great matchup, but the problem is, that it is hard to trust the Packers game plan. Right now, they are distributing the ball to everyone evenly. Since Week 12, Christian Watson has 20 targets, Reed has 16 and Dontayvion Wicks has 14. There is no clear wide receiver that is getting all the looks and that is not good when it comes to fantasy. Right now, the run game is looking strong for the Packers, which is leading to fewer attempts by Jordan Love. Love has not thrown over 30 pass attempts since Week 9. So the wide receiver room isn’t getting their opportunities. Yes, Reed could have a huge game, but it is a high-risk high reward.
