We are approaching the midseason mark, and that means each game from here on out will be crucial if you want to make the playoffs. Lucky for you, I am back with my Week 6 wide receiver rankings. Week 6 does bring a bye game for Justin Jefferson and Nico Collins. Those are two big slots to fill if you don’t have depth. So, let’s find out who you need to start in place of those two superstars.

Wide Receiver Notes
- Let’s start with Michael Pittman Jr. as my WR17 going against the Cardinals. Pittman has been surprising this year, as he was nothing special last season. But this season, he already has four touchdowns compared to his three touchdowns last year. He has a great matchup against the Cardinals this week, as they are giving up 26.6 fantasy points to wide receivers this season. Pittman is also averaging seven targets a game compared to Josh Downs at 5.4 and Adonai Mitchell at 2.6. The Colts have been in close games, which has led to more rushing, but this game could be a bit closer, where Daniel Jones will have to air the ball out.
- Next, I have Deebo Samuel as my WR9 against the Bears. Samuel is the WR7 in the year, averaging 14.7 fantasy points per game. A few of those games were without Jayden Daniels. The Commanders have also been without Terry McLaurin, too. This has boosted Samuel’s production. But, even if McLaurin comes back this week, the Bears are giving up 29.3 fantasy points per game to wide receivers. So, this is a perfect game to start, Samuel, even if McLaurin suits up.
- Lastly, I have Brian Thomas Jr. as my WR23 going against the Seahawks. Thomas has been underwhelming this year, but the Jaguars are 4-1. So, it has been their defense and run game that has been winning them games. However, Thomas is still averaging the most targets on the team at 7.6, versus Travis Hunter at 4.8 and Parker Washington at 4.2. Yet, he is getting the targets, but these targets aren’t made for big plays. The Jaguars are averaging fewer passing yards per game than the Raiders. The Jaguars are averaging 205.6 passing yards per game and 137 rushing yards per game, which is top-five. So, unfortunately, until Trevor Lawrence starts airing the ball out, Thomas is barely a flex start.
