Going into Week 9, our wide receiver rankings show some changes, as Puka Nacua is back, but we are left with no Emeka Egbuka, A.J. Brown, or DeVonta Smith. We are getting so close to the start of the playoffs, so every win matters at this point. I know we are dealing with injuries and byes this week. But, trust me, there are options.

Wide Receiver Notes
- Let’s start with Michael Pittman Jr. as my WR10 this week, going against the Steelers. Pittman has had a bounce-back year, and all he needed was a quarterback who could throw downfield. Pittman has six touchdowns on the year and is averaging seven targets a game. This is also a player who was drafted deep in the draft, and it looks like it is paying off. He has another chance to have a huge game this week as the Steelers are giving up 31.3 fantasy points per game to wide receivers.
- Next, I have Xavier Worthy as my WR25 going against the Bills. Now that Rashee Rice is back, it looks like Worthy is just about droppable. Since coming back to Rice, he leads the team in redzone targets with six and also has three touchdowns. Worthy has only two targets in the last two games. Also, just in general, in the last two games Rice has 19 targets compared to Worthy’s 11. Worthy is still getting his share of targets, but they are not leading to much. And on top of all that, the Bills are only giving up 24.4 fantasy points per game to wide receivers. Most of those points will go to Rice.
- Lastly, I have Quentin Johnston as my WR32 going against the Titans. Now, Johnston is someone you can drop at this point. It was fun while it lasted, but Ladd McConkey is showing why he is the number one, and Keenan Allen is playing how a consistent veteran should be. Since Week 5, after Johnston’s tear ended, McConkey leads the team with 41 targets, followed by Allen at 35 and Johnston at 10. That is a huge drop off, and those numbers are not going to work going forward. Also, I expect the Chargers to get up early in this game and run the ball.
