Fantasy Football 2026: Week 9 Wide Receiver Rankings

Week 9 is here, and my wide receiver rankings will be your key to checking one more win off the list. Luckily, last week brought no significant injuries to the wide receiver room, aside from Lamar Jackson and Jacoby Brissett, whose injuries could affect their respective wide receivers. Week 9 only brings DK Metcalf and Carnell Tate on a bye this week.

Wide Receiver Notes:

  • Let’s start with Matthew Golden as my WR13 against the New England Patriots. Golden has become one of the best fantasy wide receivers this season. Over the last three weeks, Golden has had 13, 12, and 13 targets. His only downside is that he drops a lot of balls. He should have four touchdowns over the last three weeks instead of two. However, he has still scored 19.4, 6.9, and 17.4 fantasy points in his last three games. That single-digit score is only his second time scoring fewer than 10 fantasy points. He should finish among the top 15 wide receivers this week.
  • Next, I have Rashee Rice as my WR21 against the New York Jets. Rice looked great in his game, putting up 53 yards on seven receptions and one touchdown. He has a great matchup against the Jets, who just gave up 38 points to the Raiders last week. Twenty-one of those points came through the air.
  • Lastly, I have Rome Odunze as my WR36 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Sadly, Odunze is droppable at this point. He has only two games this season in which he has scored more than 10 fantasy points. The Buccaneers are also the seventh-toughest defense against fantasy wide receivers, allowing just 22.6 fantasy points per game.
