As we move into Week 7 of the football season, we also move into another week of my starts and sits for quarterbacks and RBs. Week 7 also means no Josh Allen, James Cook III, Trevor Lawrence, or Jayden Daniels. But lucky for you, I’m here to tell you who you should be starting in your lineup and who you should be sitting.

Week Starts and Sits
Quarterback Starts
Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers (at Detroit Lions)
Jordan Love might still be on the waiver wire, but it’s likely he’s getting scooped up by now. He has two top-10 finishes in the last two weeks. He’s also averaging 19.1 fantasy points per game and is currently the QB8. He’s ahead of players like Joe Burrow, Matthew Stafford, and Dak Prescott. This week, Love faces the Lions, who are giving up a league-high 27.9 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks.
Aaron Rodgers, Pittsburgh Steelers (at New Orleans Saints)
Aaron Rodgers has been looking like his old self this season. Since Week 3, he’s averaging 21.6 fantasy points per game. He has 11 touchdowns and four interceptions in that four-game span. This week, he faces the Saints, who are giving up 18.5 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks. Expect Rodgers to continue his hot streak this week.
Quarterback Sits
Kirk Cousins, Las Vegas Raiders (vs. Los Angeles Rams)
I know Kirk Cousins is at home this week, but this is a nightmare matchup for him. The Rams are still decent against the pass, giving up just over 17 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks. Cousins is also starting to see a downswing, with three touchdowns in his last two games compared with nine touchdowns in his first three. He’s a sit this week and a start next week against the Jets.
Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys (at Philadelphia Eagles)
Dak Prescott and the Cowboys just don’t look the same. CeeDee Lamb still looks elite, but the rest of the receiving corps is struggling, and so is Prescott. He has gone over 20 fantasy points just once this season and hasn’t thrown multiple touchdown passes in a game since Week 2. In his last two games, he has two touchdowns and four interceptions. The Eagles, on the other hand, have struggled against quarterbacks. But given that they’re at home and Prescott’s recent struggles, I’d bench him.
Running Back Starts
Braelon Allen, New York Jets (vs. Miami Dolphins)
Braelon Allen has been solid since Breece Hall went down in Week 4. This week, Allen has a monster matchup against the Dolphins, who are giving up 25.8 fantasy points per game to RBs. That’s the second-most in the league. Allen has come into his own, scoring 18.1 fantasy points in Week 5 and 11.4 last week. He’s getting the work, and the touchdown upside is there.
Chuba Hubbard, Carolina Panthers (vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers)
Chuba Hubbard is one of the few workhorse backs in the league right now. Last week, he had 28 carries, following 20 the week before. He’s also putting up more than 100 rushing yards in each game. On top of that, he has three touchdowns over the past two weeks. This is Hubbard’s backfield, and he’s a must-start every week.
Woody Marks, Houston Texans (vs. New York Giants)
Woody Marks is going to get hot, and he has a great matchup this week against the Giants. New York is giving up 20 fantasy points per game to RBs this season. The numbers haven’t been there for Marks, but the attempts are. He has 15 carries in each of his last two games while David Montgomery is out with a groin injury. Marks is a sneaky start this week, and the touchdowns will come.

Running Back Sits
Tony Pollard, Tennessee Titans (vs. Cleveland Browns)
Tony Pollard is interesting. He’s getting the work but isn’t performing. He has gone over 10 fantasy points in just two games this year, and even then, his high is only 12 fantasy points. This is looking like a pass-first team. The Browns are also the second-best defense against the run, giving up just 14.2 fantasy points per game to RBs.
Cam Skattebo, New York Giants (at Houston Texans)
Now we have to talk about Cam Skattebo. He was benched last week, likely because of his fumbling issues. Although he could start this week, I wouldn’t risk it, as he could be active and receive no carries, like last week. Skattebo has also been underwhelming, with a season high of just 14.1 fantasy points.
