Fantasy Football Week 9 Wide Receiver Sleepers and Streamers

Week 9 is here, and that means another week of my top wide receiver sleepers and streamers. We’re also right around the midpoint of the fantasy football season, so if you’re down on the leaderboard, now is the time to lock in. Week 9 only brings two teams on a bye, which isn’t bad considering they are the Pittsburgh Steelers and Tennessee Titans.

Week 9 Wide Receiver Sleepers

Zay Flowers, Baltimore Ravens (vs. Jacksonville Jaguars)

I know Zay Flowers dropped a goose egg last week, but that won’t happen again. He does have a disadvantage, which makes him a sleeper this week. It’s likely that Joe Fagnano will be the starting quarterback, making him their third-string option. However, the Jaguars are giving up 30.1 fantasy points per game to wide receivers. Before last week’s goose egg, Flowers was averaging 20.8 fantasy points per game. He has the talent to produce no matter who his quarterback is.

Denzel Boston, Cleveland Browns (at New Orleans Saints)

Denzel Boston has a great matchup against a Saints defense that is giving up 24.3 fantasy points per game to wide receivers. Boston had 11 targets last week and eight the week before. However, he hasn’t scored a touchdown since Week 5. So, he’s in a slump, but that is about to change this week as this game has the potential to be a shootout.

Mike Evans, San Francisco 49ers (vs. Las Vegas Raiders)

Mike Evans shouldn’t be listed as a sleeper, but he has had his ups and downs this season. The good news is that he gets the Raiders this week. The Raiders are giving up 28.7 fantasy points per game to wide receivers. Evans also could be the top target this week, as Deebo Samuel is still not 100% after his hamstring injury.

Week 9 Wide Receiver Streamers

Keenan Allen, Indianapolis Colts (vs. Dallas Cowboys)

I feel like Keenan Allen is on here every week, but he truly is a boom-or-bust fantasy player. However, this week, he has a great chance to boom against the Cowboys. Dallas is giving up 29.7 fantasy points per game to wide receivers. Allen caught all seven of his targets last week but missed out on getting into the end zone. So, the production is there, and this game has the potential to be high-scoring.

Makai Lemon, Philadelphia Eagles (vs. New York Giants)

This is an easy stream with DeVonta Smith still dealing with an injury. Makai Lemon has had some solid games this year and is looking like he could go on a hot streak. His targets are increasing, and he has a chance to do something big this week against the Giants. Also, New York is giving up 26 fantasy points per game to wide receivers.

Malik Washington, Miami Dolphins (vs. Detroit Lions)

Malik Washington should be on your roster all year. He is not as bad as you think; he is just on a bad team. He scored his first touchdown last week, and more are to come. He also gets the Lions, who are giving up just over 30 fantasy points per game to wide receivers. That is the third-most in the league.
