Welcome back, race fans. With just two races left in the regular season, the NASCAR Cup Series heads to New Hampshire Motor Speedway for the Dollar Tree 301 this Sunday afternoon. It will be the third straight race on a short flat track, and no one has been hotter on that track type than Joey Logano, who has wins in two of his last three on the track type.
In this article, we will preview the track, look at some trends here at New Hampshire, on short/flat tracks, and look at drivers who are coming in with top form. Then we will jump into our weekly pre-qualifying picks, highlighting our top targets to monitor as we inch closer to race weekend.

Track Preview & Fantasy Angle
New Hampshire is the longest short/fat track (1.058-mile) in our database and also has the least amount of banking (12 degrees) in the turns. Like other tracks in the category, track position is extremely important. We have four races in the NextGen era sample size, and of those, the winner has come from a top-5 starting position each time. On top of that, twice we have seen at least four top-5 starters finish top 5. As you would expect, we will be looking heavily towards dominators in this race from a fantasy perspective. There has been at least one driver to lead 147 or more laps in all four Next Gen races, with two drivers topping 100 laps led last year, and we have even seen a super dominator in 2023, when Martin Truex Jr. led 254 laps en route to a dominating win.
Top Pre-Qualifying Targets for DraftKings
Christopher Bell ($10,700)
Bell is knocking on the door of his first win of 2026 with five runner-up finishes in his last four races. That is great news as he returns to New Hampshire, where he won in both 2022 and 2024, leading 42 and 149 laps respectively. The price is up, but considering all angles, it feels like a bargain for the #20 car.
Joey Logano ($10,500)
Logano secured his second win of the season last week at Richmond, which has catapulted him up the Chase standings. He is not only second in average finish (5.6) behind Hamlin over the last five races, but leads all drivers with 418 laps led during that stretch. Like Bell, he also has excellent track history with two top-5s here in the NextGen era and four in his last five races here overall.
Josh Berry ($8,200)
The days of getting Berry in the high $6K/low $7K range are over, my friend. On the back of three straight Top 10 finishes, Berry has seen his price reach just outside the top 10 range. While that seems crazy, it does make sense, as he has raced here at New Hampshire twice in the Cup series and finished top 3 both times, and also has eight top 10 finishes in the last 15 short/flat track races.
Noah Gragson ($5,400)
Once again we are going to be wanting to stack at least two top drivers in our lineups this week, and that means we need some value to make it work. That is where Gragson comes in, down in the $5K range. He is coming off back-to-back top-20 finishes at Richmond and Iowa, so the comfortability seems to be there on the short/flat tracks. Better news as he has improved here at New Hampshire each season and put up a career-best 16th-place finish last year.
